sky is turns into an absolute deceptive antagonistic cheating villain like every other season. icy meanwhile.......
Problem with Sky is that he is a coward, and selfish. In general, a cowardly man can never be a good partner, neither can a selfish one. Coward however can push through fear, a selfish guy can force himself to be better. But those two traits together? They basically ENSURE that he forever and always puts his own comfort before your safety and peace, and that's why Sky is a shit boyfriend in canon. I do fix him up in fanon aus bc I love a nice prince charming deconstruction (omg 'prince charming deconstruction' she's so pretentious-) but canonically he sucks.
When is Sky canonically selfish and a coward?
I am lost
Okay you'll have to bear with me because I do NOT have timestamps, I have been a fan of winx for like, half my life on and off but I'm surviving on fancontent and spite, I did NOT rewatch this recently XD But basically, I am thinking of Sky's general way of living. When does he stick up for Bloom? Season 1, Riven, day of the Rose. It wasn't really FOR Bloom, it was more jealousy, but I won't stick to that. Point is, Riven is his equal in age, not even materially, and Sky loses nothing if he punches him in the face. Then in season two, he does risk his life trying to appeal to dark Bloom. He is not afraid of getting punched or like, zapped outta existence apparently. Lol. But he leaves her hanging when it comes to Diaspro, and when it comes to his parents. He is TERRIFIED of looking like a "bad guy" yet he will constantly allow himself to leave Bloom hanging because on some level, he 1) knows she'll forgive 2) her judgment doesn't scare him as much as that of authority figures. Yes, he'll spam call her after Day of the Rose, but when she's having a mental breakdown while Diaspro is just angry, he'll stand frozen between two of them like an asshole. When reaching out to Bloom might make him seem as less of a "perfect heir", he will hesitate. He lives so much of his life for others, yet near every choice he makes that is just for him, to make something easier for himself, it relies on Bloom drawing the short end of the stick. Because he's more concerned with societal norms and meeting their standards than meeting Bloom's needs. One could argue that even starting anything with Bloom in season 1 has been selfish af because he KNEW he was engaged. Bloom never agreed to be part of his emotionally cheating on his fiancee.
He did stood up to Riven after the race when he threw helmet at her and accused her of making him lose. Sky sided with her. Also Sky went with her to CT when she had questions about who she is. I agree with Diaspro business being messy and he shouldn't lead Bloom on especially when they were still in their "we are friends stage" but he proved himself by not leaving with Diaspro in S1 and staying with other to fight. Also he and Riven quarreled multiple times and he did punch him when he suggested Bloom was sleeping around.
Also we see Bloom in S1 jump to conclusions whenever Sky doesn't pick up his phone.
Erendor is a king and he is his only son...You do see power imbalance right? I think Sky was supposed to be written as dutiful but the show failed to portray that. Bloom also appears to be not interested in his royal duties and only before the ball in S3 she realized she has close to zero princess training. Also the whole episode with Sky being marked by Valtor is so fucking bad I--
He was assaulted by being given spiked drink by his childhood friend and then everyone suddenly got zero brain cells and didn't notice he was acting like RADIUS???? WHEN HE WAS SPELLED?
I HATE THIS EP.
Bloom also was quick to accuse Sky and in the next episode kept on asking him if he was really spelled.
Both of them aren't perfect and writers could do a bit more with exploring the royal part of Sky (also I fixed it in my rewrite <3)
Thank you for answering <3
I'll always answer! See no I get that, he went for Riven's ass many times (and like, a boy spreading rumors that a girl is a hoe SHOULD get his ass kicked, so go forth blondie) but also "he proved himself by not leaving with Diaspro in S1 and staying with other to fight" I don't think he did, not in this one angle I'm looking at- Sky doesn't have, in my eyes, to prove himself in GENERAL, as a person; in season two I believe he's in trouble and goes "Look guys forget about me go get Bloom" and Riven says "What do you mean forget about you, did you ever forget about us?" so like, he has an established habit of being there for others and not abandoning them. My particular gripe is not how he handles the extreme highs or extreme lows, he fails in those moments that compared to the rest of the show seem super small, but since I never had to like, stop a terror attack at World Government every year of my high school life, those moments are something I could realistically connect to something irl so I zoom in. Which is where my gripe comes in because again, he loses nothing beating Riven's ass, meanwhile his dad will get angry if he chooses Bloom over Diaspro, and he decides to honor his dad then. And honestly, since as you said they really showed us ZERO reasons on why Sky is that committed (zero actual consequences to breaking a royal engagement, lol) to me, all I see is a boy who at ripe age of 17 can't tell his dad to fuck off. Whiiiiich writing this out might be a bit harsh since not everyone can tell their parents to fuck off even at 30 ig. (It's a skill many would benefit from bc sometimes parents don't know shiet) ALLLLLLLLLLL that being said, Bloom was always written as super trigger happy to jump to conclusions (which btw I wouldn't mind, same way I wouldn't mind Sky's thing as much, if it was explored- not everyone needs to be perfect at relationships and especially not traumatized teens; for an example one of my favorite parts of Riven and Musa is that Musa herself is also not perfect and has a tendency to expect Riven to read her mind. (And like girl did you watch the show Riven don't read minds he gets his mind read lol) (too soon I know) but also I can't believe wtf I just read in that last screenshot. "When you were spelled, did you really feel love for Diaspro?" I'm sorry this will be EXTREMELY from 0 to a 100 but to me that is like asking a rape victim if they had an orgasm. What le fuck. And then Sky has to explain himself to her?? Bruh. (Mind you it is the most crazy that they literally had one of their own be manipulated/spelled literally in first season, and then Sky does even MORE obvious show of being spelled, and they're all like "Omggg I can't believe he liked Diaspro all along". Gimme a break. (It also makes no sense for ERENDOR to be so chill with it since even though i think that guy would be totally chill spiking his kid to make him go through with a wedding (I just make him the Devil in my head, it's easier) he wouldn't be chill with FOREIGN FORCES DOING THAT since if they hijack the heir, it only takes one push down the stairs for Erendor to tragically pass away in an accident and then Quartz basically annexes Eraklyon in all but name bc they literally control the king. Now I do NOT expect winx to be a political intrigue game of thrones type drama (as fun as that would be) but other shows manage to keep thinks semi functioning without betraying their genras, so. Btw, is your rewrite published yet?

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms 1.01
Funniest akotsk "discourse" is people on Tiktok going 'As if Aerion would allow a HEDGE KNIGHT to impregnate him🙄🙄🙄' in response to dunkaerion dominance in the fandom but not even arguing against the idea that hes getting pregnant. phenomenal fandom. no notes.
Everyone calls Maekar "Mae" and Im here to tell you you're all wrong, he's Maekie. Thank you.
Aegon: you can't tell me what to do YOU AINT MY MOTHER!
Aerion: YES I AM!!!!
We are not talking enough about the fact that Maekar's response to Dunk's enormous social-political miss step (insulting Baelor by calling him a liar) is too giggle. Not laugh, giggle. Perfect Baelor just got called a liar by a fucking hedge knight, and he's thrilled. Made his day, easily. Possibly even his week. Top tier little brother behaviour.
Mind you I'm pretty fucking sure it WAS seven lances 🤣🤣🤣🤣
what do you think the Winx girls like to read
I’m gonna be honest I never really thought about that and am not really well versed in types of literature. So I don’t really know.
Will have to think about that.
Bloom: High fantasy, duh. Also teen witchy fantasy such as Blue is for Nightmares series. Stella: stuff like Confessions of a Shopaholic, Gossip Girl, Private by Kate Brian, authors such as Meg Cabot and ugh that other one with a bit of a darker vibe I'll remember the name as soon as it's not important. Tecna: Asimov's works, Dune, if she's reading fiction it is sci fi. Musa: Edgar Alan Poe, Brontes, she likes her ankle covering English. Flora: Stuff like Howl's moving castle, she likes to read books that cozy movies were based on, or books ABOUT cozy movies, that's where she gets her reading inspo from. Layla: Historical fiction. She likes the fiction written about real people, meaning she's really picky about it because as a princess she's very well educated on her history, so she can easily decide if something is taking too many liberties, or just doesn't understand the historical figure they're writing about.
Modern Maekarlings:
When Aegon turned 10, he wanted to do same sport Aerion did and Aerion got put in charge in helping him. Part of helping was morning jogs, in which Aerion would follow Egg in his car and threaten to run him over if he got too slow.
its actually a little bit funny how strongly my body is rejecting finishing these specialists outfits. like ughh yeah sorry im busy i have to go draw a bunch of Guys no yeah i know the pretty sparkle fairies are right there but no i gotta draw the Guys
I mean you can just leave em do they even deserve new fits?
Adding on to the headcanon of Alastor enjoying tinkering with new and old technology, especially where it intersects with radio. He likes exploring technology, and more has beef with the capitalist enshitification of modern tech that is Vox's business model:
I saw video from Josh Johnson about his friends grandpa owning and maintaining one of the first gen laptop computers to the point where it would still boot however many decades later. I love the image of Alastor "i made and edited a video commercial in the span of a week" Radio Demon having a similar laptop or computer as well as other devices that he maintains and repairs to continue working in a hell that's focused on chasing the newest gadget. Even more fun if his skill in tinkering with these devices borders on looking like tech wizardry to outside observers, with a grain of truth because radio powers.
Then with the radio powers, I think it'd be really cool if he's figured out a way to send wireless signals to unlock and hot wire smart cars and other devices, almost exclusively to send the cars crashing into traffic or fuck with Vox. Alastor has built such a persona around radio, him occasionally using or manipulating modern tech has the possibility of endless entertainment value for him in the, "no one will ever believe you saw me do this" sense.
Thank you for your time.
This 👆
I recently had idea that Alastor could like. Own his own tech company that would make alternative to voxtech stuff like, for people who like Alastor himself got a beef with voxtech for some reason.
And, being himself, Alastor isn't the always present ceo, in fact, he doesn't visit his own company that often, but enough to be like. An office legend, a cryptid, that would bust into a meeting of high ups, pitch couple of ideas and leave. And sometimes for fun mess with workers. And nobody can do anything because he owns the fucking company.
Bonus points if none of them know that he's the Radio Demon. (I love the idea of Alastor not being recognized as the Radio Demon when he isn't being scary and shit, because he doesn't go on tv and doesn't take pictures, and most people basically don't really know how he looks like)
And it's products are not widely popular, but have small but slowly growing amount of dedicated users that prefer thes noname company's reliable and durable tech over flashy and fancy but fragile voxtech's products with their planned obsolescence.
Where Alastor gets money to sustain this clearly not self paying company? He stole Vox's credit card, remember. Probably multiple at this point. And also he owns Husk who owns a net of casinos and these are just gaint cash generators
I guess, this is my third weirdly specific Alastor headcanon...
... Alastor sells tech that you can fix yourself because it is not made to be the tiniest ever. Smartphones with batteries you can actually take out like in old Nokia's. Chunky laptops that you can take apart yourself and replace a part if something's not working, instead of having to have it fixed by a professional or replaced. Things that are meant to last instead of being basically made to crack two days after the warranty's expired. ((the crack of it would be if the business is losing money actually bc people don't have to buy over and over again but Vox's cc is keeping it afloat lol.
Hey so I thought we as userbase should organize spontaneous blackout protest against shapes inc ads here. I thought Feb 26th would be a good date (so ppl has 72 hrs notice if they want to participate), we would log off for 24hrs to show tumblr we are not okay with that (and also for shapes to get less ad revenue for a day in a process lol). Tag would be 'anti shapes inc protest'
If you like the idea/want to participate, help spread the word by reblogging this ask. Thanks <3
I would happily comply with this, hopefully enough people participate for it to make an impact!
i'm gonna do this and hope many others will too, however i'm not going to say you have to. however i do hope some of you join me on discord or bluesky on the 26th to stick it to tumblr and shapes.inc!
@satan-offical could you spread this around, please? :]
@ohnoitstbskyen and @elsa-fogen would you please consider spreading the word?
Explanation, for those, who, like me, is in the bunker
I use adblok when i'm not in the app
Fuck it!
In my AU, Riven falls in love with Musa about... half way through season 2, and doesn't realize it. He doesn't realize until early on in season 3, where it just suddenly *clicks* and he's just about ready to scream into a pillow. Musa, thank God, is still in love with him but no those two idiots won't get together right away because WHY should anything be simple and straight forward when they can cause themselves unnecessary stress?
Musa fell first riven fell harder YESYESYEYSEYSEYSYEHSHEHSEHSHEHWHSJFSKFNDK
YOU GET ME! I am a sucker for simp Musa and I think it would be fun to actually have a dynamic where it legit ISN'T reciprocated right away rather than just "oh he doesn't know his own feelings" no he do and he's gonna scream abt them, as soon as he GETS them lol.
