“Marinette worked very hard all afternoon on her flower task. Despite all her friends telling her she was severely overworked and underpaid in this internship, she knew what it was really all about: proving she was tough enough to make it into the fashion world. If she could survive fashion week working for Gabriel Agreste, she could most surely make it anywhere.
Especially since she had earned her place here, unlike her two co-interns. She’d never met Adrien Agreste before, but his name and the fact he hung out with her classmate Chloé Bourgeois were more than enough to make her wary of him, despite his nice smile. He was probably like his friend, who’d gotten into the best fashion school in Paris through her parents, not even bothering to hide it or to make an effort in their assignments. It infuriated Marinette, really.
When she was certain the flowers looked exactly like the visuals Gabriel had provided her with, she left to get the water for the vases, and some for herself. She was ready to go a long way to make it in fashion; dying of thirst was not one of them.
She’d barely left the room when none other than Chloé Bourgeois stepped out from behind the backstage curtain, a devilish smile on her lips.
“Well, well, well... What do we have here?” She cackled as she started shifting the vases around.”
