Would you say there are any relationships or meetings that Saewynn has with characters that you haven't really touched upon? It could be with ocs or canon characters alike- perhaps ones she's met through another person's character and such.
Hmm. This is actually a very fun and interesting question, because I'm sure there will be a lot that come up as I write the story that I don't know at the moment. Of the ones I've thought of, though, I guess the most important ones are Ornstein, the Crystal Sages, and her various 'alternative magic' teachers, so to speak: Quelana, Nadalia, Keira, and Bryna.
The one that happens latest in the timeline is Ornstein. I am outright fighting fanon with what happens with Ornstein in Moon of Paper and you know what? I'm happy to do so. Saewynn meets Ornie during her Undead Pilgrimage in Book II. They have already found and saw the state of NK at this point, and Ornstein abandoned in the Shrine his armor and weapons; they put their old life behind them and have been either living in obscurity and isolation with Ciaran or wandering around and keeping their skills sharp.
The pair travel together for a while and grow decently close. We think Ornstein is the last mentor of Saewynn's first life. They don't admonish her for pursuing the Kiln, for attempting to prove something to the world, but they do make sure she understands what she means to do. They teach her how to handle larger foes, imparts some of their wisdom, the whole nine yards.
They're potentially even the first to treat her on the grounds she's been craving, which instantly endears Saewynn to them. One thing leads to another, they copulate, and Ornstein is more than happy to let her continue on her way. They have no desire to stop someone driven; they spend so much of their life doing that, and they have nothing to show for it.
Still on the fence about whether that copulation leads to anything in Book III because, like so many other characters, I have hit Ornie with the Alphabet Beam and it'd be a fun additional consequence for Saewynn to grapple with if she had a kiddo with the dragonslayer.
Up in the air. Will have to feel it out when writing it.
One of the fun things Saewynn gets to do in the middle/later parts of Moon of Paper is explore magic in the setting. The biggest rival she has in this is the twin sages of crystal. It's entirely a friendly rivalry, and we're almost entirely sure it's on the friendlier side of things. Yet, while they were preoccupied with the sorceries of Seath (and Logan), Saewynn was always a bit more... driven. It's not enough for her to study; to truly make something worthy of her god, she had to make something entirely new.
Such is her conflict. She does study with them, learn various secrets of magic at their side, but it is on a philosophical level that she disagrees with them. While I originally had Kreimhild penciled in for this role, I think it'd make more sense timeline wise for it to be the Sages. They even get matching hats, so you know they were close /j.
I think part of Sae's kit eventually is the duplication spell of the Sages but also, importantly, something akin to what Pinwheel developed and/or a lesser version of what Nadalia did in the Brume Tower.
Saewynn makes that a fundamental component of her fighting style, since even once she's a fairly competent fencer she's incredibly fragile, though that shouldn't be too surprising.
It may well be that the Sages are the first and potentially only ones to warn her about the dangers of overusing the spell since Foreshadowing is a Literary Device™. I think that gives her a more interesting dynamic later with Kreimhild as well, since no doubt the Sages had some Words™ to say about their old rival.
As I said above, Saewynn wanted to fashion something wholly new to show her devotion to Gwyndolin; a school of sorcery unlike any other. Part of that is, during her graduate studies as a sorceress, her investigation into the other types of magic. She knows well at this point that miracles remain outside her abilities, but the fun thing with Dark Souls is there's other types of magic we know next to nothing about.
The most well known is Hexes, which she learns from a witch named Keira. She's an oc of mine; a twin that was blessed with an innate connection to the Dark and given to a coven of witches while her other twin, blessed with Light, was raised as a noble.
Saewynn 100% had run ins with her before, of course, but not until well into adulthood when she was taking semesters abroad in other arcane universities. They become passing friends, but when Saewynn seeks an understanding of that kind of magic, the first person she thinks to approach is the nomadic coven that Keira has grown up within.
She learns through that experience that the wellspring of the Dark's knowledge is deep and could be beneficial to her project. While it is heretical to approach it, she has the true researcher's mantra of: well I'm gonna do it anyway, it'll be fine as long as it doesn't backfire and no one finds out. Happily, due to some canon divergent shenanigans, Nadalia is close at hand and easily met with.
Who better to learn of the Dark than a fragment of the old Lord of the Abyss, after all?
Saewynn would much less familiar with Nadalia than Keira, but they've 100% met before this. Due to her sorcery tutor (say hi @alutaluna, I brought up Visenya) being married to the Fume Knight and her (less than official) 'fencing tutor' (also say hi @chicxibalba, I brought up Vvigo) being a close friend with Alsanna, their paths have most certainly crossed and would be happy to meet with Sae. It might take some convincing on her part, but in the end Nadalia (with many warnings at every major step) teachers her more of the depths of the Dark, of the shattered and unfathomable Abyss.
It's the other two teachers that are the most interesting. In Dark Souls lore, there's two types of magic that we, the player, never get to use: the flame sorceries of Izalith and the corpse arts of Nito. Pyromancy is a descendant of the former through Quelana, and to my knowledge that the closest we get to the corpse arts (or necromancy but we prefer the more direct translation of it to differentiate it from the necromancer enemies as I don't believe those are aligned with what Nito is about) is his Gravelord Dance miracles, but those are explicitly miracles he gives his mortal followers.
It takes a bit more for her to find a teacher for either of them. Yet, in the end, she does find someone to teach her for each of them.
The dominion of New Izalith was raised by the remaining Izalith and what demons would support them, and it remained close allies to the domain of the Sunless Realms (I have a theory that the flames from Smouldering Lake were intense enough to function as a subterranean heating source for Irithyll, since it's directly beneath it), and during one of Quelana's meetings with Gwyndolin for diplomatic reasons, she took her chance to ask for an apprenticeship.
She also got close to a specific Izalith (@inkmortis say hi three, I brought up Ray) over time, and even though he couldn't teach her how to use them, he enjoyed her presence enough to teach her some more peculiar Izalith fighting styles. After a good few months in the subterranean city (and learning just how awful she handles heat), she learned enough to aid in her goal.
The last piece of the puzzle is the corpse arts, which she has to find either a milfanito or a fenito to teach her. (I fully know the milfanito say they don't have individuality but shut up I ignore that so I can have fun oc shenanigans with them) Unfortunately, that is much harder for her to do. The only one she has ever met is the best friend of Quelrin (Dawn reference pog, Byron get the camera), but she isn't much of a teacher and is more interested in learning of the outside world.
So, she has to investigate rumors, most of them leading to dead ends. Eventually, however, she stumbles across a colony of the Children of the First of the Dead, which includes the milfanito Bryna, who is most agreeable to the idea of teaching her.
Bryna is... odd, and doubly so to someone like Saewynn who is so attached to societal norms you'd have to remove it with a scalpel. The Children of Nito are odd, removed from conventional understandings of the world. Yet, Bryna (or B# as she would more accurately be called) is well familiar with it. After all, she spoke at length with the Royal Aegis of Old Drangleic during his vigil in the Undead Crypt, and from him learned a great deal of how the light ones exist.
In exchange for helping her reach the dour old knight once again and a promise to only use what she needs from it, she does teach Saewynn the fundamentals of the corpse arts.
It's this combination of magics — alongside some tutoring in Oolacilian sorceries from Gwyndolin and her education in the Soul Sorcery that Seath invented — that enabled Saewynn to make her own branch of sorcery, drawn from her devotion to the Darkmoon God of her beloved city. Each has a place in the formulae of a lunar sorcery, which is part of what makes them quite as advanced as they are.
On a very real level, they are foreign entirely to the base concepts that conventional sorceries are built on. Such was how the crowning achievement of Saewynn won; through more than a bit of heresy and entirely owed to the aid of others.
I hope this was interesting! I don't think anything here is something I haven't discussed in the server / with you, but I do think this is more detailed about those specific relationships. Ofc, a lot of this is subject to change, but it is the direction my mind is going for a lot of this.
I also need to learn to be concise when answering questions, by gods.

An introduction post for my main WIP right now
Title: In the Angel's City
Genre: Drama/Adult Fiction
Status: second drafting
Setting: California, 2016 / California, the late 80s and 90s

With mysterious circumstances surrounding the actor's death and poor media coverage about his life, Nadia relies on one person to help her with her script: Deven Shaw, former actor, and Scott Case's best friend. The only problem? Deven Shaw retired from acting years ago and is now living by himself in god knows where. It's up to Nadia not only to find Deven but also to uncover the reason behind Scott Case's death, as well as discover the secrets of the people who once were Hollywood's biggest stars.

Characters: (will add the links for their introduction posts in the future)
Nadia Pérez: (29, she/her) Screenwriter and recent Oscar winner Nadia Pérez is a cunning, smart, and focused woman, who can be enthusiastic at times, even if she lives in a city that constantly tries to push her down. Despite being talented enough to win awards, she struggles to find pride in herself.
Deven Shaw: (49, he/him) Deven used to be a popular teen heartthrob during the late 80s and 90s but he disappeared from the public eye after the death of his best friend, Scott Case. When Nadia finds him, Deven has become a reclusive and grumpy middle-aged man, who has to become a mentor of sorts to Nadia against his will.
Scott Case: (he/him) Scott Case died of mysterious causes in 2000. Charming and handsome Scott was notoriously famous during the 90s and it's such a striking mystery why no one remembered him until Nadia started investigating. Even though he doesn't really appear in the book, we get to meet Scott through Deven's stories and memories.
Jenna Azaria: Nadia's best friend and actress who's rising to fame. Always cheerful, Jenna is glad to assist Nadia in her search for the truth.
Paul Campbell: Nadia's boyfriend anda comedy actor, perhaps the only person other than Jenna that Nadia trusts.
Nicole Toledo: A 90s actress whom Nadia admires and who used to be married to Deven Shaw in the past.
Because of this post, I’m gonna be dropping some info about my WIP, which is currently going by the codename…
Project Opal
…because I can’t think of a proper title. (Now that I’ve shared this, I can finally start tagging stuff with it.)
Synopsis
Nauth never understood why things happened. Why the wind comes alive at noon and dies in the evening. Why some moons in the sky are smaller than others. Why he lost his parents. Why an ordinary man’s life is thrown into chaos.
Things had been going well. He had good friends, a home, and even prospects of a better job. Everything turns upside down on the Night of Wyrd’s Watch, when an attempt on his life forces him to flee the city.
As far back as he could remember, Nauth has always had why’s. Is this the time to find a because? Or is it merely the start of a life constantly on the run from death?
Character descriptions below the cut.
Character Descriptions
Nauth - A second-generation native of Kem lon-Dalan, Nauth currently lives alone, working as a stablehand at the Fox and Rabbit alongside Ven to provide for himself. He’s rather reserved about himself and his past, but still quite outgoing. He’s playful, but also has a hard line of what he will and won’t put up with (even if that line does move around a lot).
He’s not especially tall, usually an inch or two shorter than the average man on the street. Granted, people in the Vandeth Desert are generally taller than usual. Compared to Delgane people, on the other hand, he’s around average height. His skin and eyes are darker than a native, but he hardly stands out in the wide array of nationalities in the city.
Ven - Ven fits the typical idea of a shodathi*. Sun-tanned, light on his feet, and a little cheeky. Ven’s family took in Nauth many years ago after his parents died, and he and Ven grew up as brothers, almost from birth. Even after Nauth moved back to his family home, they remained quite close. Now, they work together at the same job.
*The Vandeth word for “person”; also used to mean a native of the Vandeth Desert, typically by heritage as well as citizenship.
Lynn - For reasons unknown, Lynn moved to Kem lon-Dalan with her younger sister almost seven months ago, leaving their homeland of Delgan. They both took jobs at the Fox and Rabbit, Lynn working in the stables with Nauth and Ven. The three of them quickly became friends. With their help, Lynn learned the Vandeth language, though she still struggles to speak it. Her peachy complexion and long honeygold hair made her an exotic sight in the desert, landing her a job serving wine inside. She also sings for tips.
Lynn is typically very easy-going and fun. At times she can be possessed by self-righteousness and haughtiness, courtesy of her Delgane upbringing. She can appreciate a good joke, though. A good joke.
Fun fact: Lynn was actually male in earlier versions of the story, and will likely be male again in future drafts. For reasons.
Other Things I Wanna Say
So, Nauth’s storyline isn’t the only one. There’s also gonna be one that follows Ven and Lynn, and at least one more following another character. But if I had to pick, I would say that Nauth is the main character. But Ven and Lynn are important too.
a/n I’m going to say this now, but if I ever contradict myself about the contents of the September Constitution or the history of Georgia’s monarchs, just ignore it. I’ll fix it once I’m actually editing NYTF and the like.
When we left off last time, Daley Miller’s tyranny had been brought to an end during the September Revolution of 2097, led by three notable figures:
James Hall, former General of the Georgia Defense Guard, who led the actual military resistance against Miller and his French Squadron.
Kylar Killian, a revolutionary writer, who wrote several notable pamphlets and pieces speaking out against both the Board of Trustees and Daley Miller.
Jacey Olson, French Squadron Leader, who defected, joining James Hall and helping turn a majority of the FS against Daley Miller.
However, before we actually talk about the contents September Constitution and the current government, it’s important that we backtrack to talk about the exact roles these three played in the September Massacre, Revolution, and Constitution.
The “Founding Fathers”
James Dylan Hall, born in 2060, is the patriarch and founder of the Royal Family. His father was a high ranking government official during the Board of Trustees era of government. At 18, James joined the Georgia Defense Guard, loving the adventure and the feeling that he was doing something. He quickly climbed through the (short) ranks of the Georgia Defense Guard, thanks to his quick wits and the high turnover of military officers. By the age of 34 (2094), James was the General of the GDG.
Kylar Killian was born in 2075 as Kyla Killian, to a school teacher and a clothing store owner. Kylar’s father died from an IR infection when Kylar was only 3, and his mother’s income was rarely enough to support him, her, and his twin younger brothers. Kylar took on odd jobs starting in his early teenage years, in order to help support his family. In his little free time, he found himself writing, criticizing the Board of Trustees’ government everything from their spending to their lack of care in contact tracing and containing IR victims. When he was 18 (2093), Kylar began spending what scant money he had (in an extremely volatile economy) to publish his works. By the time he was 20 (2095), Kylar had grown more popular than he had been expecting and garnered the attention of the Board of Trustees. He was put under house arrest in late 2095, and forbidden from publishing.
Still, he continued under a new pseudonym. The Board of Trustees, after realizing this, sent General James Hall of the GDG to interrogate Kylar Killian. At 10:30am on the morning September 2nd, 2096, James Hall arrived at the residence of Kylar Killian.
Ten minutes later, the September Massacre of 2096 would begin. Daley Miller and his militia, inspired partially by Kylar’s writing, stormed the Board of Trustees building, quickly overtaking the Board of Trustees' government and establishing his own. James would take shelter at Kylar’s residence, much to the amusement of Kylar.
As Miller's government began, Kylar was invited to help organize it. Miller found him quite annoying within days. However, he knew that killing Kylar would look bad on his own government, so he put Kylar under house arrest, for a second time. Kylar, in response, started publishing under a pseudonym once again, criticizing Miller’s dictatorship, but unlike with the Board of Trustees, Miller was never able to identify him.
The entire time while MIller was in charge, James continued to take shelter at Kylar’s residence. Shaky understanding of one another soon turned into a friendship, which soon turned into something more. Despite his initial dislike for Kylar, James found himself admiring Kylar’s willingness to stay true to his values and his intelligence. Kylar, with a normally abrasive nature, softened, as he realized James was just a normal person who had been led astray by his ambition and achievements.
As the anniversary of Miller’s takeover got closer and closer, James and Kylar both realized that something had to be done, and someone had to stand up against the grant. Using James’ military experience and Kylar’s writing ability, they were able to rally a force, and at 7am on September 18th, stormed Miller’s government building.
Jacey Olson, born 2064, was the leader of the French Squadron throughout Miller’s reign. He had grown disillusioned with Miller’s government, but feared retribution if he left or spoke out. As James led his forces into Miller’s building, Jacey denounced Miller’s government in front of a large portion of the French Squadron. Roughly half, including Jacey, defected, joining James’ forces and overtaking the remaining Squadron members and killing Miller.
Establishment of the September Constitution and the Hall Royal Family
During his second house arrest, Kylar had privately begun drafting a new constitution, one he imagined could be put into place if Miller’s government was overthrown. Soon after James and Jacey’s success, Kylar presented his constitution concept to them in private, which earned approval from both. Kylar then publicly shared his constitution with the people of Atlanta and called for their approval to create a stable government which could help the people. It was overall accepted, and was called into temporary effect on September 19th, 2097.
Kylar then reached out to the governments of Savannah and Macon, who had been observing the chaos from a distance, and asked them to join the State of Georgia, as the government was called then. Although they were initially skeptical, they both joined officially on September 20th, 2097.
Atlanta, Savannah, and Macon would officially be the founders of the State of Georgia.
In the first year, James and Kylar would serve as co-leaders, putting Jacey Olson in charge of their armed forces, then called the “Georgia Guard”. (After the establishment of James and Kylar as kings, this would be changed to the “Royal Guard”, as they felt the name Georgia Guard was too similar to the GDG’s name.) Kylar would do most of the technical work, creating guidelines for departments, and organizing what they had. James would do most of the networking part of creating a new government, hiring people, and becoming the lovable face of the new government. Over time, the constitution was fleshed out, and the citizens of Georgia were updated every step of the way, until a finalized draft was completed on June 1st, 2098.
On May 2nd, 2098, James and Kylar would get married in a relatively small ceremony, and their only child, Ciara Kyla Hall, would be born on August 25th, 2098, only weeks before the vote on the Constitution. Days later, Jacey Olson would propose an amendment, naming James and Kylar as kings and changing what was supposed to be a Council and President into a Council and Monarch. His petition earned thousands of signatures, and garnered enough attention to put the amendment on the ballot.
The day of the vote, September 18th, 2098, eventually arrived. James, Kylar, and Jacey did their best to make voting as accessible and secure as possible, throughout all three zones at the time. By the end of the day, the September Constitution was passed with 76% of the vote. The Monarchy Amendment of 2098 would only pass with 58% of the vote, but still over the required 51% margin.
James and Kylar Hall were made monarchs until their abdication or death, and the Hall Royal Family was established.
Hey Everyone!! I hope you're all having a great day 😊
As some of you may have noticed, I now have three major storylines going. @theimperiumchronicles , @bombsbodyguardsbroken , and @bendingthelaws .
In case anyone is confused I thought I'd give a brief synopsis of the storylines in case anyone just wants to follow certain ones you can let me know.
The Imperium Chronicles - There is a web of lives that anchors in four major realms - Earth, Imperium, Uffern, and Poustota. The Four Horsmen have now taken control of what was previously the Earthly Hell realm. The Horseman of Death, Abriella, is the Queen and her brother, the Horseman of War, Cruz, is the King. The Horseman of Famine, Deacon, and The Horseman of Conquest, Olly, are their top advisors and framily. In Uffern, the realm of Mists and Shadows, Kellen reigns as King. He is single and is dealing with his siblings, that at times of more of a curse than blessing. Soon Uffern and Imperium will collide and the outcome could be quite interesting. When the Horsemen took possession of Imperium, the Princes of Hell were locked out and now are trying to take it back. Currently they, and their allies are hiding in a realm created by Kali, who would like to be the Queen and is going to be helping them in their endeavors. Earth is where residents of all three realms often interact, and where the war for the destiny of the galaxy occurs.
Bombs, Bodyguards, and Broken Artifacts - Melania LaVeau is a professor at LSU in Baton Rouge. She is also the grandaughter of Ambrose Meyers, one of the most powerful men in the country and the daughter of Marie LaVeau...yes THAT Marie LaVeau! Old money, going back to when the Gautier family came over from France to settle in New Orelans, there isn't much that goes on in Louisiana or Mississippi that they don't have their hands in. Meyers Worldwide, a tech conglomerate is a cover for underworld activities that will eventually come to light. What happens when someone decides to cross the most powerful, and immortal, Queen of Voodo and threaten one of her children? Will New Orleans be left standing? If you are a fan of Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, or The LIbrarians, the story is in the same veign. All of the characters are human, but there are supernatural occurrences around them
Bending the Law - Colin Masterson is the Cook Count State's Attorney. He has been on a mission to take down the head of a Chicago crime conglomerate that is headed by Constantin Rakeovich. Now someone has kidnapped his intern and is sending her back to him in tiny pieces. Is it Constantin? Is it another one of the people that Colin has crossed? Now he and those he trusts are going to have to figure it out before someone else disappears or is hurt. Complicating matters is that his brother, Colton Masterson is Constantin's defense attorney. The brothers have never been close, but in this situation, things take a much darker turn. Will Colton stand by his brother or his client? And what happens when something bigger happens and puts everyone Colin cares about in the crosshairs? If you are a fan of Law & Order, or any of those types of shows, this is much in the same vein and will involve more than just the lawyers. All characters are human. There is no supernatural beings or magic. Some places are going to be fictional, but the main setting is the city of Chicago.
If any, or all of these sound interesting to you, feel free to like/comment in order to get added to my tag lists. Please also feel free to send any questions regarding the stories. I hope you all will enjoy the new twists and turns that I'll be putting out.

Or do they (if he adopted the four heroes making them 4 kids out of 20) mess with motoyasu saying they'll fuck his dad
There is lore I need to know about just from that wip
In the WIP, he hasn't adopted the other Heroes too, but if he had, L'Arc and Therese would definitely annoy the fuck outta Motoyasu by saying they'll fuck his father-figure.
Though TheRuFumi is established from the start for a few years, L'Arc and Therese are Simps, which means- Holy Shit Naofumi just came back from a war, hair messy and uncut, his cape in tatters and blowing as he walks, and blood still dripping from his armor and covering multiple places on his clothes, and there's even a few drops on his face holy fuck that's so hot please fuck u-
Yeah. And then, when they see him even more grumpy than usual, taking care of multiple kids, they both have another awakening. Like, they're ecstatic that they have kids now, even if it's during the Waves and Wars, but Holy Fuck Naofumi please take them soon-
