One long standing rumor about how she was cast as the bride was the her marriage to #CharlesLaughton was a #LavenderMarriage and #JamesWhale met her through #Laughton. Whether or not it’s true, it does make for great #HollywoodLore. The appearance of her character is believed to have been inspired by #Nefertiti who was said to be one of the most beautiful women ever.
