As it's not very common to have pointy ears in The Human Realm, to avoid possible problems, it's best to cover your ears when visiting.

I’ve decided to become a “baby Hunter had big beagle puppy ears” truther and will now be imagining teenager Hunter with ears notably bigger than the average witch because when Belos created his nephew in the clone soup he couldn’t figure out how to give him proper kid witch ears that’d grow with him so he slapped on what he thought normal adult size witch ears were and left it at that.
