are headscarves as a whole able to be appropriated? ive only ever seen 1 person clearly assert that a white person wearing a headscarf is appropriative and they were white themself and i have seen several poc including muslim women saying that its certain ways of naming and styling headscarves that is appropriative. im considering wearing one because ive had really intense hair sensory issues and trichotillomania my whole life but i want to make absolute sure that its not appropriative??

I may not be the best person to answer but yes from what I read too, there are certain ways to wear a headscarf that can be appropriative.
