Most of us could honestly use a shift in how we speak to/about ourselves. It won’t make all your dreams come true with no effort, but when you choose to shift your focus to more positive mindset, it becomes easier to Do the hard things to build the life you want. Thinking about how hard it is all the time only makes it harder to do the thing.

May i ask how do you use sigils and how do they work in your opinion? Have a nice day!

Sigils are really flexible and can be used in a variety of ways. I’m only gonna mention a few ways here because there is just too much to cover.

Sigils are basically compressed information that is no longer consciously recognizable, and they work best if you can forget the meaning before activation, though that’s not always necessary. Think of it like taking a book and turning it into data on a flash drive. You can’t perceive that information, but your computer can. Likewise, a sigil is like manufactured coding of imagination to be read by the universe’s hardware (our collective unconscious). The reason why forgetting is important is because the sigil is read by our unconscious through our individual subconscious, and conscious awareness (ego) can interfere with that. It’s like when your trying to feed a dollar bill into a vending machine but it’s all wrinkly and distorted from being manhandled; the wrinkles and smudges and folds are your conscious ego in this metaphor, and they corrupt the image being scanned. That being said, you can still force it in with a little finesse.

I use a couple of different kinds of sigils in my practice, some to project and directly manifest change (usually activated via fire or other destructive ritual) and others to absorb, store and even siphon energy/attention from other people, places and things. Some of my sigils do both, and I’ll usually activate a proxy while planting the sigil(s) somewhere in physical space- that usually ends up being on my art but sometimes I tag places with a sharpie. The sigils that do both not only siphon a tiny bit of power from the viewer but also implant the subliminal magic into the back of their mind, both feeding it directly to the universe but also subtly influencing the individual.

I like using them in my art because the viewers have no conscious bases for what my sigils represent and therefore are easier to unconsciously digest in full, but the art itself gives them reason to look at it for a few moments, allowing that connection to be established. You can also rely on the consciousness of non human entity, but to keep that brief I’ll just recommend you bury it the earth for a couple of weeks.

All you gotta really do is create the sigil, charge it, and then apply + activate it. The easiest and most potent way to charge a sigil is to focus on it at the point of orgasm, but if you’re trying to make a bunch of sigils at once I’d recommend placing them within a crystal grid for a few hours. Easier on the body lol.

Here’s a fun way to use sigils. Map out your town or city and place sigils at the 4 cardinal directions and the 4 midway directions to create a circle enveloping your physical world, and then replicate them on your altar. Now your altar becomes a proxy to the entire town. Y’all seen Wandavision? Also works for other levels of space, if you want to concentrate on your place of work or your school or even your own home, just do the same but on a smaller scale. Use different sets of sigils for each area you’re working with and simply swap them out on your altar accordingly.

So like I know on witchblr we're very "everyone's practice is valid and you don't have to do anything other than want to be a witch than to be a witch." For the most part I agree, but like idk if this makes me an elitist but you have to do some work and some research. Witchcraft is more than just being vaguely interested in magic(k) or supernatural/otherworldly entities. There's gotta be something more than your UPG on how entities behave to separate witches from fiction writers.

Also not an insult to people with learning disabilities but I feel like you can't call yourself interested in fairies/the fae. If you have not attempted to learn how to spell the name of the group.

Hi, this is about a post you made in the witchblr discourse tag.. You mentioned the gods from the Hellenic Pantheon are open for interpretation for anyone who wishes to believe in them, as far as I understood. How is that respectful towards my culture and the gods of my country? Just a curious greek witch asking.

I do apologize, and thank you for making me aware of how insensitive my words sound.

The specific phrasing I used was, "I believe that the Greek gods are open to the interpretation of anyone who believes in them." I should have been a little clearer, and obviously more respectful when I made the post, and added the clause, "while giving respect to the Greek people and their culture."

However, the reason I phrased it the way I did is specifically in relation to how people depict the gods' appearances. I have seen people push whiteness onto the gods, ask people to change their artwork of the gods because "white people are the majority in Greece" and "the gods represent the majority." With this rhetoric, white people are effectively excluding people of color from interpreting the gods they believe in to look like them.

And of course, it's excluding centuries worth of art depicting the gods as people of color, and the fact that there are so many different ancient interpretation of the Greek gods. There is no one way to depict them.

I have gotten a veritable flood of asks and anons ever since I reblogged a few posts about the most recent witchblr discourse. I’ve gotten ones telling me I’m terrible for not supporting Prim, that I’m a horrible person for spreading “misinformation” and joining in on “defaming and libel.” I’ve gotten ones praising me for “choosing the right side” of this situation. I’ve even received one or two suggesting that now that Prim is gone, I start posting more and guiding more like when I first opened this blog.

I won’t be responding to any of them directly, because I have the same response for all of them:

Being a responsible steward of any community that I am a part of is very important to me. That doesn’t mean that I’m here to cancel people and call them out. It means that I’m here to make sure that all of my followers are equipped with at least one or two resources that will help them think critically about who they’re following, practice discernment with regards to what information they’re absorbing, and not fall into the traps of abusers (even the ones that may not be 100% aware that their actions are abusive).

Idol worship is rampant on this website, both in and out of witchblr. People turn accounts into celebrities, take their every word as gold, and think of themselves as experts on the motivations and goals of the people who run them despite not knowing them personally. Sometimes those accounts are run by people who take advantage of that, sometimes not. But that is why it is so terribly important to know how to spot the difference.

Nothing I’ve reblogged about the Prim situation is because I’ve chosen a side, or committed to slandering someone. It is to highlight the fact that abuse can happen in this community and people you trust can spin webs of lies. It is to show the experiences people have had with an abuser. And most importantly, it is to provide one or two introductory posts about critical thinking and discernment. Because that is how you keep a community healthy—not by gossip and choosing sides, but by ensuring that everyone has the skills to keep themselves safe and spot abuse when they see it.
