OK so this post is a li~~ttle dark but...

Is anybody else depressed because all they do is work, come home from work, sleep, wash rinse repeat? I’m 26 years old, and I’m so extremely tired of living in the city, in a shitty apartment right by the road, where all I hear are cars speeding, big trucks, hearing strangers constantly talking, bickering, screaming, complaining... The cost of living in this generation is so damn high, millennials can barely afford a small studio apartment by themselves and then older people wonder why we look so depressed? I was born on an Island, so I grew up having nature all around me...Then when I was 11, I moved to the big city with my mother, because she fell in love, and stayed for 14 years...And listen when I tell you they say that when you’re fully grown you’ll always want to go back to your roots, well they’re not wrong because I miss it terribly. I’m not a city girl by any means, and walking outside without being able to see fields, or the ocean, or forests, honestly kills me.

(P.S.: To all those people who like living in condos or apartment, and love the city, I’m not shaming you, you do you girl.) 

People who are able to quit their jobs, move to a quiet place or find a way to be self-sustainable is amazing to me and I wish I could do that. All I’m longing for is silence. And nature. I want to be able to go out in the morning and feel the sun on my skin and the gusts of wind caressing my hair, hear the birds sing...I want to tell the trees how majestic and beautiful they are and how I want to watch them grow. I want to decorate my house for all witch holidays, and I want to bake and cook some amazing food. I want to sit on the porch with my cup of tea listening to thunderstorms, to watch the snow fall gracefully. I want to go swim in the ocean. I want to do my craft, grow my herbs, sing to my plants and have a vegetable garden. I want to take care of animals. I just want pure tranquility. Not being in nature literally just sucks out my energy.  But all these dreams are exactly what they are. Just dreams.  I really hope one day I’ll be able to do this...I stay hopeful. And whenever it does happen, I think I will finally be living my best life.
