I was a teen when Harry Potter came out. I hated it then. People were having a competition of who can read it fastest when the fifth book came out. And while everyone was losing their mind I was having a good time in middle earth.

10 years later I am sitting in the breakroom at work and someone starts shaming me for not liking Harry Potter. "If you don't like Harry Potter who wronged you?" They said. "People like you. Let me guess you like 50 shades and Twilight?" I was taken into the supervisor’s office for creating a toxic work environment.

For 20 years I hated JK and the Harry Potter Fandom. I was ostracized from nerd communities. I was viewed as weird for not liking what everyone else likes. I was harassed and bullied for not liking it.

Well I guess I was right not to jump on that Bandwagon because many people are turning from her due to her politics. Who stays with her? The people who probably took that series way to seriously. And because they hold that fandom sacred they rather become a TERF then to sacrifice something that ment so much to them at 13.

Moral of the story: maybe don't like something because everyone else likes it. Like it because you like it.

And the HP fan (joannarowling) proves my point on how they are all unhinged bullies. They will bully you like a child for not liking what they like. Because they have the maturity level of a child. And obviously they are child with the only thing they can think of is I am old. (Not that old btw.)

I don't like HP because of people like them.

You obviously don't understand HP because HP was bullied and bullying is bad according to the books. But obviously you all never read the books.
