BLACK LIVES MATTER SPELL

a spell of protection and justice for those protesting in response to black lives matter. i did this on the super moon of June 5th 2020

WHAT YOU NEED:

a container

a pencil

paper (i used green for life)

sharpie

soil

black and white candle

honey : protection, healing, purity, to sweeten the world

sage : wisdom, protection, good luck, emotional strength, heal grief

mint (apple): protection, ward of negativity, recharge energy, well being

lavender : cleansing, peace, protection, purification

rosemary : love, protection, strength, cleansing, purifying , healing

thyme : courage, heal grief, honour the dead, ward of negativity

pumpkin seeds: lunar spells, to plant the spell and make it grow

pink himalayan salt: love, protection

salt: protection

egg shells: protection

rose petals: love

Bay: healing, protection

cinnamon: healing, protection, victory, love, speeds up spells, success

WHAT TO DO :

Light a white candle and pray to Ares. He is one of the most passionate Gods who fights for justice. As a God of War, he will be on the front lines with those fighting for justice. I also said a prayer I found online regarding this topic

Take your container and fill the bottom with soil. The place 3 pumpkin seeds on top of the soil. This represents how the spell will grow and bring a new world.

If fresh and not dried, put your sage and mint leaves around the containers edges to cover them.

Then put the rest of your ingredients in and drizzles some honey over it

Create a Sigil with the specific Intent you want.

Fold up your sigil and place it on top of the honey.

Place more soil over all the contents so it’s covered. Don’t worry if you can still see parts of the sage and mint leaves. This further reflects that representation.

Light your black candle and pour some of the wax onto the soil. Then pour some of the white candle ontop of the black, making sure there’s more white. This shows the light and justice winning over darkness and hate.

Close the lid focusing on intent.

Draw the sigil you made ontop of the lid in sharpie and write BLM under it.

I pray that these protests across our globe will bring into action the change we so desperately need. I pray that all my followers going to protests stay safe and are protected. I pray for the families of white supremacy victims. I pray that the names of those taken will never be forgotten. May the Gods be with you.

Protection for Protestors spell for #witchesforBLM

Tonight there will be a mass spellworking for various aspects of the BLM movement, whether that be bindings or protection spells, so I thought I would share my plans for the full moon tonight!

This is based off a protection spell by The Witch of Wonderlust on YouTube, with some additions and omissions

Ingredients:

Black candle

Olive oil, or a ritual oil of your choice

Salt (pink salt is preferable, as the iron content that makes it pink represents the blood of those no longer with us)

Rosemary

Cloves

Justice tarot card (optional)

Offering (optional)

Method:

Inscribe candle with protection sigils, petition, names etc whatever you'd like. You can use a Sharpie to draw on glass holders.

Dress the candle with the oil and fix to a candle holder or plate.

Sprinkle salt around the candle. If using pink salt you may wish to invoke black victims and activists to assist you in the working, as the pink salt represents their blood as well as protection

Sprinkle around the rosemary and cloves, for protection for the protesters

Add the Justice card - you could place it under the candle or lean it on your altar, whatever works or is comfortable for you. Invoke the card/spirits/deities etc to bring the swift justice the protesters fight for

Place the offerings for the spirits/deities/whomever you work with

Light the candle and allow to burn out. Should you need to pause the spell and continue later, make sure to snuff the candle instead of blowing it out

We are so powerful when we work together. 2020 has been a disaster so far, but maybe we’ll come out of it a better country.

WOW!

Last night I did a spell for the first time in probably close to a year, and honestly it was a mess. I kept having to get up and grab ingredients, adjust the lights, blah blah blah.

But when I finally really centered myself I felt connected to this HUGE web of magical energy. There were so many other witches working last night, and all of us for the same goal. We are so many and we are so strong.

I felt so hopeful and empowered. Let's do it again tonight.

Y’all better harvest all these energies and put them to use. Time to amplify our energies and help the protests (whether thats negative energies aimaed at the police, positive energies aimed at the protesters or however you want to go about it )
