'Heksenkeuken I : The Witches' Sabbath ' by Lizzy Ansingh, 1916.
The Witches' Sabbath (1831-33) Eugène Delacroix ( 1798-1863)
Flying ointments, although their origins are in antiquity, come to us through the folklore of traditional European witchcraft and medieval witch trial records. They are associated with many of the most core themes of folkloric witchcraft such as the Witches’ Sabbath, diabolical pacts and flight with familiar spirits. One of the reasons that flying ointments are an important and powerful tool is not solely due to the plants they are made of. Flying ointments are transgressive. They are surrounded in taboo and have been for a long long time. From baby fat, to vaginal insertion, to being diabolical drugs flying ointments have been demonized by every angle. This transgressive quality is important because in similar ways to reciting the Lord’s Prayer backwards, having sex with the Devil and cavorting with the dead, they go against the norm…even for some witches. There is something that happens psyche-spiritually when we apply these dreaded salves and it is in that place that we can connect to the Other. It is here where we become the night hag, the succubus and the feral witch of the woods. Beyond their entheogenic properties, flying ointments tap into the “atavistic resurgence” so important to writers of traditional witchcraft. What we can take from this is that breaking taboo is a powerful magical act and many of us do this on a daily basis just by being who we are. 🧹 🌙 😈 this is my new Devil’s Ointment poured in a rosary container more info linked in bio. #witchesointment #flyingointment #flyingsalve #traditionalwitchcraft #folkwitchcraft #medievalwitchcraft #poisonpath #thepoisonpath #toxicology #banefulherbs #osculuminfame #luciferianwitchcraft #witchessabbath https://www.instagram.com/p/CisXrkjAQIK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Vinum Sabbati 🍷 There is much speculation and awe surrounding the Wine of the Sabbat, also referred to as the Wine of the Devil’s Graal or the Winecup of Midnight’s Table, among other names. Drinking the wine is one of the infamous rites of the Witches’ Supper, an unholy feast partook of witches during their sabbatic gatherings. Through countless tales, alleged ingredients include the ashes of infants, menstrual blood, sexual secretions, poisonous plants, corpse juices, and all manner of bodily humors. With these repellent ingredients, the elixir has been named a poison, an aphrodisiac, and an unholy sacrament, a perversion of the Christian communion. Such a brew is said to bring about corporeal transmutation, fantastic visions, or grant the drinker instantaneous magical knowledge. The willing consumption of the Vinum Sabbati is an act of devotion as well as initiation, and some accounts say that the Devil, in thanks, makes the wine taste sweet on the witches’ lips, despite its abhorrent ingredients. With such rich lore, the Vinum Sabbati holds a high place in the rites of the Witches’ Supper and its ghastly details continue to mystify and enthrall to this day. ✍🏽 #poisonappleprintshop #vinumsabbati #witcheswine #sabbaticwitchcraft #sabbatwine #witchessupper #witchessabbat #witchessabbath #witchcraft #chalice #poisonousplants #mandrake #poisonpath #aphrodisiac #poison #potion #elixir #witchesbrew #sabbaticrite #sketchbook #poisonwitch #devil #oldone #negativespace https://www.instagram.com/p/B_VEDAWnRGb/?igshid=kgc9a1q740n0

So happy to finally have finished these! I just wanted to find some cool tees for myself, that were made of repurposed/secondhand fabric/tees, but that proved to be very difficult so I decided to try and make some myself, and make some extra for you all.
They are all a bit different since they are hand printed and have a history!
