Ginger’s Cold-Be-Gone Brew
Cold and flu season is encroaching and witches get sick too so I thought I’d share my favorite cold-busting brew with you all. Witchcraft should be used in conjunction with proper medical treatment. This brew is not a replacement for medication prescribed by a doctor but rather an additive treatment for some of the common symptoms. My craft is heavily rooted in scientifically proven herbal medicine so this will help you feel better whether you’re a practitioner of magick or not. Feel free to charge the ingredients with your intentions as you add them to your brew by holding them in your hands and feeling their energy while focusing on thoughts of healing. Or simply enjoy a nice soothing cup of tea, it’s completely up to you. Ingredients and their qualities: • 2 cups of hot water • 1 teaspoon of green tea - Boosts your immune system and works as a natural antiviral. • 1 teaspoon of lemon tea - Same immune boosting qualities as green tea plus vitamin c. • Juice of 1/2 lemon - Provides your body with vitamin c to fight viruses. Citric acid breaks up mucus. • 2 tbsp of raw/organic honey - Soothes cough and sore throat as well as boosting immune system (Note for vegans: skip this step and use any kind of natural vegan sweetener if you’d like. You could also swap the honey for ginger root as they have similar qualities, although I’m not sure how great it will taste). I hope this helps you feel a little better next time you’re sick. I’ve gotten sick quite a few times this year and it took me a while to find the right combination of ingredients. This brew provides me with almost immediate relief every time. You can drink it up to 3 times a day to continue warding off symptoms and promote immunity.
A Witch's Brüe, you say?
I decided to name her Winifred and drew her again today
Him: She has your witch's brew in her car.
Me: ...you mean the coffee syrup?
Him: she boiled a bunch of stuff in a cauldron
Her: saucepan
Him: it's a metal thing over heat to cook stuff. It's just a modern cauldron. She made a weird colored liquid and put it in a glass bottle. It's a witch's brew.
Me: okay. I can't argue with that.
Her: yeah, I'll go get your brew
