Hi Ann!! I was wondering how you make your sigils??
Hello Anon! Great question! It's a relatively short process, but a lot of thought goes into it!
Side note, I do make my sigils on Procreate.
» ․ 💫 !! ˎˊ˗ Sigil wheel
I use this sigil wheel when making my sigils! Credits to WiccaAcademy.com, it's really useful! I don't use simpler sigil wheels because I like my sigils to be more complex, and simpler sigil wheels just make me jittery sometimes.
» ․ 💬 !! ˎˊ˗ Intent
This is the base of the sigil! You have to chose which letters you're going to connect. I do this by stating my intent. For example,
" I attract attention and positive energy "
(I try to keep my intent statements simple to avoid too many overlapping lines.)
Then, I remove repeated letters.
" IATRCENODPSVRGY "
» ․ ✏️ !! ˎˊ˗ Drawing the sigil
This is probably the longest part of the process. Depending on the intent of the sigil, the language of my brush strokes will change.
Following the example from earlier ("I attract attention and positive energy"), I would use flowy, ribbon-like brush strokes or like a calm wave.
Most of the time it's all one consecutive brush stroke, but it can be broken up into different brush strokes.
» ․ 🌈 !! ˎˊ˗ Color association
This is my favorite part! I turn on alpha lock on the sigil layer and go to this color association website to pick the colors I want to use! Normally, I have between two and four colors, though it varies. The placing of the colors is also important!
In our example of a glamor sigil, I would use any three of these colors:
~ Pink, for Lady Aphrodite, and self-love and acceptance. (Can be placed on the outer edges of the sigil for outward acceptance, can be placed in the core of the sigil for inward love, or as the middle ring for general love and pleasantries!) ~ Chartreuse (something between lime green and yellow) for acceptance and cheerfulness. (Can be placed on the outer edges of the sigil for outward cheerfulness, in the core of the sigil for inward acceptance, or the middle ring for general happiness and imagination!) ~ Coral for individuality and positivity. (Can be placed on the outer edges of the sigil for outward uniqueness, in the core of the sigil for inward positivity or the middle ring for general positive individuality!) ~ Fuchsia for certainty and confidence. (Can be placed on the outer edges of the sigil for outward confidence, in the core of the sigil for inward certainty or the middle ring for general uniqueness and decisiveness!) ~ Lilac for kindness and sincerity. (Can be placed on the outer edges of the sigil for outward trustworthiness, in the core of the sigil for self-kindness or in the middle ring for general calmness and serenity!)
I hope this helped you Anon, and just to let you know, I do make sigils and prayers for free on request! Sorry to have a late response, I've been pretty busy today. I will make a more in-detail post about my sigil work process soon! Khaire, may your path bloom with prosperity and have a nice day!
