Joel looked to the other and nodded. He'd done a lot of weird things in his life and running for a unknown reason wasn't at the top of the list. He assumed if he didn't run he'd get shot or enveloped into the cold darkness that his father described to him.

He turned on his heels and began to run with all his might, following shortly after the other.

Whiskey, Revenge and Pizza- A Mass-Headcanon post

Violent headcanon- Delsin, an activist by nature, has never been comfortable with senseless violence. Even now with his powers he still feels a tiny seed of guilt in the back of his mind when he kills a DUP guard because the chances are, they're just a person trying to provide for their family. There are only two circumstances in which Delsin will become incredibly violent to the point of absolutely no remorse- if someone he loves is in danger, or if someone he trusts turns against him. If either of these scenarios happen, he will destroy everything and everyone in his way, as well as making sure the person responsible brutally suffers.

Emotional- Reggie's opinion weighs very heavily on Delsin, even though the don't exactly see eye-to-eye on much. If they get into a particularly nasty fight, Delsin will be very quiet around Reggie for up to a week after. Reggie thinks he's pouting, but when Delsin knows he's disappointed his brother, it affects him in a big way.

Happy- There are varying levels of happy Delsin, each with their own benchmarks. When he's a little happy, he'll smile. When he's very happy, he'll grin and laugh, but if he's absolutely ecstatic, he'll sing or dance (not at the same time). He's by no means good at either of these, but he'll give it his all. He's only been happy enough to do those a few times in his life.

Sad- When he gets sad, he has an innate need to be alone. He'll push those he cares about away, even pretending to be mad so they'll leave him alone. After he isolates himself, he usually finds a quiet place and drinks. (If that's not exactly possible, it's not uncommon to find him sitting in an alleyway or on the stairs outside his apartment). Sad Delsin only has two friends- whiskey and vodka.

Love- Delsin has come to the conclusion that he's going to die alone. It's been his frame of mind for some time now. He talks a big game about how he like to date casually but in all honesty- the thought of falling in love terrifies him because he's convinced he'll let them down.

Sex- He loves to give his partners hickeys and little love-bites. 

Appearance- He loves wearing beanies for one reason- he doesn't have to bother with his hair. He very rarely takes it off, and he only does it for special circumstances.

Appearance (again!)- Delsin's wardrobe consists of variations of his default outfit (he's a fan of layers, it stems from insecurities he has about his body). If it's really warm and sunny he'll occasionally strip down to just his flannel shirt with his sleeves rolled up. The only exception to this rule is if he's doing something very artistic and messy- then and only then he can be found wearing a simple white t-shirt.

Childhood- Delsin and Reggie's favorite game growing up was Cops and Robbers. Any variation of it, really- cops and cowboys, robbers, aliens, you name it. Delsin always begged Reggie to be the cop because he thought it was boring. 

Food- Delsin's hands-down would walk five miles in the middle of the night for it food is pizza. Cheese, spicy sausage and pepperoni are a must. On rare occasions, bacon will be added to the order. He knows how to get to his favorite pizza place from anywhere in the city.

Food (again!)- When he's feeling particularly stressed, he's a snacker by nature. Cheeto's, Cheeze-its, Nacho Doritos or anything with cheese in it is fair game. The messier, the better.

Death- Death was the first real loss he had ever been forced to experience. When his parents died, it left an emptiness and a fear of the unknown in his heart, but it caused something bigger to spread- his love for Reggie. He vowed to stay by his brother's side and protect him, no matter what.

Friendship- Delsin is a tough nut to crack when it comes to friendship. Between his past and his current status as a conduit, he's naturally suspicious of anyone who even seems as though they want to be a friend. After they prove themselves, Delsin will be a faithful friend and ally until the very end.
