“Oh. H-Hey, Geoff.” Yep, totally blushing.
“An entire city built on top of the dead.”

"Only if you wanna think about it that way, yeah." Michael smirks at the other man over the glassy green bottle in his hand. Geoff seemed so dour about their business, but the younger thought of it more akin to play. It was no real surprise that he liked what they did-- ten years of crime and killing and indulging in vices had molded Michael into this... "I prefer to think of it as poetic irony-- us thriving where others have failed," he says between swigs.
It was safe to say that Michael was worried, at least - scared was closer to the mark, but he'd never dare admit that, especially not on this ship. To do so would be to draw attention to himself, and to let the whole crew know that he cared. It was bad enough that Captain Burns was catching on.
It was more peaceful at night, once the anchor kept the ship still enough for the others to sleep. Michael had taken the opportunity to get some breathing space. He'd slipped out of Captain Burns' bed and out onto the deck to perch on the edge, his feet dangling over the water. Just hearing the water lapping at the sides of the boat and nothing else was far more peaceful than listening to the captain's snores.

"No, I don’t think so. It’s a pleasure- my name is Edgar."
The baker smiles as sweetly as the pastries lined in the glass case between them, wiping his flour dusted hand on his apron before offering it up to Geoff. The other plucks a wheat stalk out of the bundle stuffed into an ancient greek styled vase next to the register. He drops it into an awaiting paper bag, rolling it up once he has shaken Geoff’s hand. The bag is passed to a customer off to the side who thanks him kindly and drops a few dollars into the tip jar. Edgar folds his arms on the counter and leans froward, tilting his head and raising an eyebrow at the mustached man. His cheery expresion drops a moment, over taken by a deep fond look and some linger sadness before the smile is back.
"What can I get you today?"
bigbossramsxy:
"Wait..What? You..You mean that?"
"I--- Uh..." Well, goodbye to that burst of confidence. "...Yeah. I do."

Perhaps running was not the BEST idea, but it was only one the redhead HAD.
With the calloused grip of winter remaining vigilant, the redhead found herself trudging slowly to her awaited destination, shapely figure almost hidden by the array of furred coats and jackets thrown over herself to at least keep her dry and if she was lucky, warm from the sub freeing temperatures around her. The female was never one to cope easily with the lower temperatures that the winter so carelessly brought, perhaps something to do with her true connection with the ocean but she never liked to travel to this particular home unless the sun was baking down upon her. But with the recent deadpool, well. She had no choice. The small sound of a branch snapping caught the female's instant attention, quickly forcing her out of her contemplation and onto her surroundings. Surely no one had tracked her to this location just yet ... but she couldn't shake the dreadful feeling that in fact something was watching her. Or rather SOMETHING.
Geoff slides up to Ryan, cupping his face in his hands before kissing him square on the mouth.
Ryan's eyes shot open when he felt lips on his, finding Geoff. However, his shock quickly passed and he immediately kissed back.
