Country crime

I keep seeing all this kerfluffle about people in the united states taking a knee rather than standing for the flag.

But why should they stand for the flag, when the country that flag represents doesn’t stand for them?

That flag brings promises with it, the national anthem brings promises with it... and it has repeatedly reneged on those promises. And until that flag stands for ALL of us, NONE of us should stand for it.
