Born To Be Wild

A short film I did with @bionomi and @mariburi. 

There is a challenge during our first week of school to animate something in a time of three days or so. So ofcourse we started the night before the deadline and didn’t finish postproduction stuff on time. Recently we decided to finish it and screen it during this years challenge. 

It is almost becoming tradition because this year I couldn’t finish the posproduction on time either. And here is link to youtube version in slightly higher quality.

Country crime

Short film I did last year but only now I’ve decided to finish its sound design and share it with you guys. Coloring was done by one and only @mariburi. She needed only one colored frame from me to figure out how every shot should look like!

Clayton

Character I designed for last months Character Design Challenge - Caveman.

His name is Clayton and he’s always coming up with new ways how to make things in the Stone Age a bit easier... but sometimes it gets a bit out of hand. This time he caught himself into trap of his own making. Now that I think of it I believe this is actually first trap ever created!

Oh and I had to censor his pride... tumblr policy, ya know.

I’m 24

Wade’s Delicious Noodles

Last time I posted Don’t Starve character I came up with. I also mentioned that I made an animation to go with it, so here it is. Enojy!

Wade

The end of the last year was in the name of Don’t Starve. I’ve bought the new DLC Hamlet which is absolutely amazing and played Together with my friends. 

During our play sessions I thought to myself (as the absolute narcis I am) “Wouldn’t it be neat to play as myself?” So I created character called Wade which is losely based on me. He’s basically just disfunctional college student who eats too much ramen and gets quicker when deadlines are coming.

I still have to figure out how to make it all work in game (and I don’t have time for that) so for the time being here are some of the concepts I made for him and summary of his skills:

If he doesn’t eat from cup it lowers his sanity.

If he eats from cup it makes food a bit more nutritious and highers his sanity.

He does everything faster during night time and slower during daytime.

He’s quicker while in stress and slower while sane.

He can make delicious noodle soup

Also I made an animation but the gif was too big, so I’ll post it later as a video.

A small christmas gift I made for my friend from a rival hogwarts house. A slitherin erb to proudly put on a wall.

So I've tried to put together every layer I have to see how it will work out. I still have to finish those backround layers and do some better coloring (right now it’s just different shades of the same color which is boring). But for now, this is functional version my students can use.

WIP - Hlaalu Marketplace

I haven’t posted in a looong while and that’s because I’m getting used to working as a highschool animation teacher and I kinda can’t get myself to do anything else (but I should!!!). So to let you know I’m alive I decided to share with you some WIP.

I want my students to try out multiplane so I’m working on a layered picture they can use in After Effects. This is just a small portion of the whole picture but when I finish it I’ll post the whole thing (and probably delete this post - if I won’t forget).

And since I’m obsessing about Elder Scrolls Dunmeri Lore again, I decided to make a Hlaalu Marketplace.

PARASYTE

I and my friends (@bionomi and @mariburi) sat together one night and challenged each other to draw something from a TV Show or a videogame or just basically anything that the other person didn’t know. The only thing we gave our selves was a name and some minor clues or backstory. I was given a parasite from anime called Kiseijuu and this is my interpretation from the information I was given.

Country Crime

Some gifs from a short film I worked on for four days like two months ago. I didn’t have much time since then so it’s not finished (yet). So far it has alternate ending, that I actually hate, but it served it’s purpose.

Colouring was done by one and only @mariburi (she saved my life once again) but I kinda altered it now.

By the way, I listened to this song most of the time while I was animating so it kinda stuck with me and now I can’t imagine the first gif without it - it adds to that rural idyll.
