If someone tells you it only takes 5 to 8 minutes to make candied pecans in a skillet DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.

After at least 30 minutes and nothing to show for it but slightly browned sugar and some toasted pecans, I gave up, and used the pecans anyway to top some cupcakes.
