Hello! I was wandering if there was a word for the action of "putting a hand on someone' neck/cheeck (affection). I'm french and i can't find this word (if it even exist) in my own language so... Here i am searching for it in english (to translate).I've been searching for hours, you re kind of my last hope. It's stressing me out not to know if there is a word for that. It's weird for me to describe this action as i feel like a word should exist for it. I love what you do, it's really helping me!
Hm, I usually see it described as “cupping” someone’s face, or perhaps “caressing.”
Followers, any ideas?

about the word for putting a hand on someone - I think it's okay to write something like "He laid a sympathetic hand on her shoulder", but there can also be included actions like "He cupped her face in his hand, stroking his thumb across her cheek", or something like "He brushed his fingertips across her cheek", "He hesitantly touched her cheek, trailing his fingers down to her jaw". It also depends on the situation. You wouldn't use "He pressed his hand-" if it's a more delicate situation.
