wittgensteins-beetle replied to your post “why come Doran Martell has a wheel chair but they strap Bran to Hodor?”
Yeah a lot of people don't understand that a wheelchair is only half the solution - you also need smooth surfaces. Just from personal experience, wheelchairs and cobblestone/brick are hard enough.
Oh, ouch. :(Â And yeah, maybe something like a heavy-duty all-terrain wheelchair might be a little bit better, but Westeros has neither rubber nor shock absorbers. Doran's chair's wheels are made of iron for goodness sake.
"pictured above: a song that is not about margaery tyrell" omg did someone actually claim that?? Did they see the title and just not bother to actually listen to it?
Someone put Q.U.E.E.N. on a Margaery fanmix like a month ago. I was aghast and I have problems letting that flagrant shit go.

watching you count the ships you hate: immediate lulz
It got a bit Monty Python at one point, yes. :)

Yeah, you really weren't kidding about people shipping Sansa with the worst people in the books. *shudders*
When I say literally the worst, I mean it.

Oh man, I was expecting the usual Sansa/Tyrion and Sansa/LF....but the ones you have listed are just... the actual WORST.
I don't actually hate Sansa/Tyrion! I don't like it either, and I don't think it's endgame, but I reserve true hate for things that truly need hating.

oh my god I thought I knew who your hateships were but I'd never even thought of those, christ people are TERRIBLE
You probably know more of my "dislikeships", I think. ;) (And then there are the ones I don't ship but don't dislike either, like Sansa/Willas.) And yes, yes people are. (Nothing surprises me anymore. Nothing.)

This list is scary as shit. I can't believe half of this is true. JFC why. On a side note, have you ever written anything about Sansa/Sandor?
Well, as to the why, like I said, a lot of it I'm sure is people who find certain characters hot and fantasize about them, but they don't write marysues/self-inserts since they think that's bad fanfic form. So instead they project themselves on Sansa, the fandom bicycle, and write character-assassinating bad fanfic instead.
Like the person I saw yesterday, she was wondering if anyone shipped Sansa/Ramsay. Give her the benefit of the doubt and think she's just curious about the awful things fandom can get up to? Ha no. Her next post was saying how Ramsay is "the second hottest man in Westeros", which shows you straight up you she's asking about fic because she wants to fuck him and is projecting on Sansa.
And fine, you want to fuck the hot-but-evil characters, fine. I'll still side-eye the hell out of you, still think "y'all need jesus", but fine. But leave Sansa out of it, okay?
(As someone who did want to fuck a hot-but-evil fictional character back when I was a early-20something (shut up Jim he is hot) I can say I know where they're coming from (though for me at least the evil was a turnoff, I was into it for the angst), know they'll probably get over it eventually, and am always thankful I was at least honest enough with myself to write a self-insert instead of projecting on, idk, Kitty Pryde or something. Though I regret deeply I used my real name on the internet at the time.)
Also note I don't doubt a good percentage of the non-awful ships (and/or difficult ones like sansan and Sansa/Tyrion) are somewhat projecting too. Sansa is remarkably easy to project upon, poor girl. But when the characters have never canonically interacted ever, really there's only one conclusion, sorry not sorry.
And have I ever written anything about Sansa/Sandor? Me? :) OK, a good proportion of that tag is me reblogging other people, but I promise if you keep going you'll find my posts eventually.

my initial thought for her role was shae tbh based on her testimony at tyrion's trial. it could certainly be either shae or sansa and i get where you are coming from with the allusions to sansa's wedding night and all in the text though

Crap I just wrote a whole thing about how I thought she was playing Shae, now I'm all doubting....
The play character could certainly be Shae, this meta brings up some extremely good reasons why. But the fact is we don't know, and as this play is a fictionalization of the events in King's Landing based on rumor and scurrilous lies, Mercy's rape victim character could be either Shae or Sansa or just a character entirely invented for the play. Or a combination of all of the above. But I do think that GRRM intended for us to think of Sansa whether the playwright wrote anything about her or not. That fake penis is not a coincidence, especially with Mercy wondering why the dyer made such a mess of it -- it's a deliberate reference.
(I hate the fact that I have to write something like "that fake penis is not a coincidence" -- why GRRM just why)
