Ah shit. An apprentice came back to my tower today. I absolutely forgot about him, at some point 2 years ago i got bored of him and I sent him on a “proving quest” to bring me a crystal orb grown from the perfect dripping of mineral waters in a cave never seen by the sun.
The bastard actually found one and had to fight like hell to bring it to me. Problem is, I forgot what I planned for the reward for this quest.
What should I do?
Kill the apprentice
Seal the apprentice within the orb he brought me
Get him assigned as a court wizard to a highly unstable viscount I know
Give him a new task that he is more likely to kill him
Gaslight him that the orb is wrong and he has to get another one
the position is now open

My master's other apprentice just died so everything is falling on me. Also though I have like so many classes to go to

yo fellow wizard apprentices any advice on making your mentor chill out?? he’s on about a rivalry with some lady and i don’t rly want to participate but he’s like pouring over ancient scriptures and chanting over his orb and making a rly big deal out of nothing.
