I was so happy to meet someone IRL who knew about fictionkin stuff, only to have them blow up at me for being Jewish because they think fictionkin is a purely Wiccan identity and I'm 'appropriating their culture'. Avoiding someone who lives on the same dorm floor as I do for the rest of the year should be doable, though.
