I saw some wings of fire by alphabet and I thought that was fun, so I also started to do it.

I thought I’d try out the challenge where you draw every wings of fire dragon (with a name and at least a brief description) in alphabetical order

I’ll do four dragons at a time so it won’t take a millennia to complete, and today’s characters are Abalone, Addax, Admiral, and Agave

Y’all ever think about Abalone?

The SeaWing guard who died a meaningless death because a dragonet couldn’t find someone who was never there. A dragon who the Queen thought so little of that she had him executed for getting sick. He would have died anyway. Gill cared about him though. The king cared for this nobody dragon. Do you think he knew that, as he died? Do you think he knew that he mattered?

abalone design take

ill eventually go down the list of chs but i mainly have been wanting to do an abalone design

i want to experiment more with how the dragons may look like their names not exactly but especially in their colors. i love ones that actually look like their animal names as much as those who look like they'd be named after them.

idk how to explain it but basically im trying to make their appearance to be a reflection on the name than exactly their name. like youd look at the dragonet and go "oh this reminds me of x" rather than "it is x". both are very fun and well but i havent seen the reminder one done often, it honestly has a ton of potential.

also not really staying in color boundaries, only slightly. maybe one day i can do these in refs OR i might just do these in refs, we'll have to see.

i honestly would love a winglet or smth with more abalone, maybe one that reflects on seawing diseases and such. seawing doctor protag,,,,,,,manifesting seawing doctor protag....
