Uhh so idk if anyone remembers that art of Io I did a while ago, but here's a redesign because the old one lowkey sucks

Io!

I really like Io to be honest, she might be the reason I fell in love with green and purple color palettes. She's just a side character but I really like her.

I made her purples more vibrant because I really like that.

The shaded version is an attempt at shading her as if she were in moonlight because I had a line from a song stuck in my head.

Always found it weird and annoying that io is like a bright ass shade of indigo/purple/ultramarine in the books [io moths are never that shade] . So my new hc is that shes specifically based on this io moth species:

The automeris frankae . A gynandromorph moth [ie it has both male and female characteristics from what ive found] . Intersex io ftw

Incredibly underappreciated Silkwing, really. Like she does so much to help Blue; he's her wings when he's not ready to fly for himself, and despite the urgency of the situation she tries really hard to answer all his questions.

I'm having so much fun with these!! Dragons are cute and I like drawing them x3
