Wings of Fire Tribe Redesign/Headcanons

General:

More/fancier horns the older/stronger a dragon is

SkyWings:

Spike on tail, for precision and attacking

Tall, fancy spikes on head, sleeker on the rest of the body

Very slim and aerodynamic

Scales can be red, orange, or rarely pink, sometimes striped

Eyes can be orange, yellow, brown, amber, or grey

Horns are thin, point back, and are straight or curved

Can see VERY far

SeaWings:

more fins

Longer tendrils/whiskers

Scales can be blue, green, purple, or gray, often with sectioned patterns, can have pink or white details

Eyes can be blue, green, purple, pink or grey

Look very different and more detailed underwater

Tails are particularly strong and is their main weapon

Can see in the dark

Short, but very stocky

Second buffest

RainWings:

lots of frills, fans, etc. Ruff is very big.

They instinctively flare their fins and put eye patterns on them, which is Not Fun to look at

Fangs protrude, can also be used to open fruit cleanly

Tails and very long and prehensile

Slim and graceful, very flexible

Can see most detail of all the tribes

Neck can turn 360 degrees

Basically the cryptids of WOF

Like to practice venom shooting by shooting birds and butterflies out of the air. They don't eat the things. It's just a cruel game.

SI decided to create a Wings of Fire tribe Because it's fun

So those are the Stonewings ! Yes the drawing is weird it's because I'm bad at drawing dragons

Now better put some informations about them

- They live underground in Pantala since the tree wars (they hid because they were weak they had no natural defenses)

- They are shorter than other dragons, due to living in a confined space

- Their wings also are smaller, and they hardly fly (you don't fly in caves so they had no use)

- They don't speak much and rarely actually make full sentences, prefering to talk completing with signs

- All of their senses are more developped than usual

- Their claws produce a corrosive substance for climbing on rocks (or dragons I guess)

- They're pretty flexible and agile

- They are fluorescent. Yeah yeah they glow in the dark. Still because of the caves, like actually all of the above.

Heyo! So the base I ordered came in today and so I'll be taking one commission on the base. The base was originally made to be a manokit, but I can modify it however you'd like to whatever species. The absolute base price is $250 CAD (so closer to $200 for you Americans) plus you would pay shipping. This would mean only using fur/materials I already have and not overly complex patterns. The only thing that I'd have to buy would be buckram for the eyes but that's included in the base price. The price increases depending on what you'd like added and what lining you'd like. I got a mask that's already been painted but I plan on wiping it down and refurbishing it. This means it'll look simmiler to my man below (who is NFS atm) The ears on yours would look much less stupid, don't worry. For this, the base price is $50 CAD (so maybe 30-40 for Americans) plus you pay shipping just to paint it (no fur, no ears, no horns, just paint) and goes up from there depending on fur colours and the like. The same thing applies here, just pm me for a free quote! As a side note, I have some pre made horns that would be good on the mask, so if your character has short twisted horns (kinda like Darkstalkers), then that won't be added to the price. I may also be taking hand paw and tail commissions with both or on their own. If you're interested in either, just again pm me for a free quote. Here's an example of the pattern used for the hand paws and how yours would work (with different fabrics and possibly claws of course) The tail would either be stuffed or high movement with a foam base. Seawings - Rainwings - Icewings  Sandwings - Skywings - Nightwings Mudwings - Silkwings - Hivewings Leafwings - Beetlewings 

Don’t really have a lot to explain as I’ve tried to keep it close to canon. Silk and beetlewings have fluffy undersides bc I like the idea of them being more moth-like.  I really like my icewing design. That muzzle just looks nice. Speaking of I keep seeing people design seawings with this kinda ugly, really rounded look?? I dont like it. Remind me of pugs. I feel like they need a long jaw for snapping fish

Anyone wanna talk about how similar rainwings and skywings look bc I sure do

Nightwings gave me the most trouble with their weird ass muzzles

Mudwings are great bc they’re so goddamn chunky. It bothers me on the canon art that their horns stick out above their heads?? Doesn’t that ruin the idea of them hiding in the mud with only eyes and nose sticking out?

Pantala dragons were hardest for me. Why do Leafwings have back fins? they live in trees. what they need em for

Decided to add beetlewings so it wouldn’t be so uneven. Had fun designing them!
