im reading the new WOF winglet and I enjoyed Jasper/Ruby’s parts but oh my GOD cliffs narration is insufferable. if I wasn’t committed to finishing just for the sake of finishing, I might not be able to make it through. I. 🫠 nooo it’s ENNTIRELY baby talk

Ok some live reading hero thoughts since I finally downloaded it (spoilers obv)

But my spoiler-free thought is this might beat Runaway as my favorite winglet 🙏🙏

CARNELIAN APPEARANCE!!! But this also means she’s older than the DoD since the brightest night was mentioned to have been 7 years ago while she’s already alive. Moonelian is dead.

I love jasper sm oh my god. And it’s so creative and perfect that Ruby’s love interest has facial blindness stopppp I love them already???

I don’t ever talk abt it but Ruby is one of my favorite characters, her whole arc is so good and I love how she unintentionally counteracted her enchantment by growing as a person on her own it’s SO interesting and this winglet’s doing it justice. I’m happy to know that she had jasper despite growing up with scarlet as a mother 🫶🫶

I think sunset was a cutie in her 2 seconds of screentime and I don’t normally like the baby wof characters 😭

Ofc there’s another dragonslayer scene

I also like Cliff more now. I always preferred him over the other babies but I still thought he was a little obnoxious until I read this (love how he affects ruby’s character though)
