Creative slump

Ugh.

I haven’t worked on anything in close to two weeks and it’s taking a toll on me.

Partly it’s circumstantial: an emergency PC repair and emergency dental visit back to back, vet bills and debts coming due, have all made money incredibly tight and stressful. The throbbing infected abscess in my mouth isn’t helping a lot with concentration. The day job is kicking my ass. And the world political situation is....awful, to say the least.

But every day that I’m too exhausted or depressed to write is another day I don’t get that rush of creative endorphins that make me fulfilled. So I get more drained and depressed. It’s a brutal cycle, and I’m gonna have to drag myself out of it by force.

I’m thinking it might be helpful to do some world building or drabbles or something for the werewolf game to get some of that energy back.

So. Like. Ask me questions, I guess? About the boys, the premise, their matriarch, the town...anything.

How do you think Embry and Seth would react when they fall in love?

I think Seth would be OVER THE MOON about it. I like the idea of him realizing it while he’s hanging out with his s/o - hearing them laugh or them just doing a typical thing like watching TV together or something - and thinking “I want to spend the rest of my life with this person.”  He wouldn’t be bothered by the thought at all because he already cared about them, so to him, it was just finding the right label for what he’s feeling. Seth wouldn’t hesitate to tell them he loves them.

Embry, on the other hand, would probably be stunned by the revelation. The strength of his own emotions would take him by surprise, and it would take him some time to work things out in his mind - overwhelmed and astonished by how similar love is to the feeling of being punched in the gut (in a good way). After he realizes that ‘yes, he’s allowed to have good things’ he’ll decide to go with the flow and let things fall into place. He most likely won’t be the first to admit his feelings, but he’s so bad at acting casual that his s/o would know without him saying anything. Once the confessions are out in the air, he’ll be more vocal about his love.
