Had a rough start in the clan, as she was still being contacted by her previous rogue group members. She had an initial attraction to Dahliadusk, but nothing happened between them. Instead she found herself growing closer to Laurelstar.
She was a bit put off as she learned about his romantic history, and briefly tried to reach out to Dahliadusk and Diona as potential mates. When she didn't feel the same level of affection for them, she approached Laurelstar again and was relieved when he accepted her as his mate. However, when she realized that he was mostly just feeling desperate at the time she refused to have kits with him. It took her a long time to actually start to fall in love with him.
When she finally had their first son, Stonekit, she was terrified of being a parent, and avoided becoming close to him. By the time Finkit was born she mostly passed off responsibility to Laurelstar whenever she could. To make matters worse, she still felt attracted to Dahliadusk and had a brief flirtation with Otterwhistle to try to distract herself.
Realizing that she couldn't carry on living like this, she asked her children how they would feel if she and their father weren't together anymore. They barely even noticed that the two were mates in the first place, so Wolverinesand approached Laurelstar and told him about her lingering feelings for Dahliadusk. To her surprise, he completely understood. He suggested that she tell Dahliadusk how she felt, so she did so right away in her excitement. Dahliadusk reciprocated her feelings, and with her family's blessings she finally was able to make Dahliadusk her mate.
Wolverinesand went on to have many kits with her new mate, and became very attached to her growing family. She was able to grow old surrounded by loving clanmates and eventually joined Starclan after eating tainted prey.
