Spend one day protesting… now need two days in bed. My shoulders are so shaky right now and won’t stop subluxing, but it was worth it. He makes fun of all of my identities. Was out with my sign for almost 3 hours and then immediately put on my thumb and knee braces… should’ve just worn them while there… far less recovery time. Also, we didn't march and just stood around. Moving might've been less impactful, but too late now!

Today was pretty amazing. It started off being very surreal. I couldn't believe that I was waking up so early. And for what!? Oh...I remember now. It's not a dream. It's a nightmare. A very real nightmare. But slowly as the hours passed, @somebosscurry and @jourdanicus kept me company and were amazing in getting me out of my mood of sadness and depression. Avery's mother was especially amazing in that she had knitted us some pussycat hats. The trip to Indy was sweet. But nothing was sweeter than showing up and witnessing the amount of support that showed up. It really was so emotional. The sea of pink hats and signs. People smiling, passing stickers, shirts, hugs...It was beautiful. It was heartwarming to know that people came together. And to think that this was happening on a global level. It gave me back that faith in humanity. Because we all have one thing in common. We came because we have someone we love. A woman. A Muslim. An immigrant. LGBTQ+. Black. White. Whoever it was. They were on our minds. People came together because we have someone to protect from the injustices, whether it's our friends, family, neighbors, or even ourselves. We came because of love.
