Other than practices or diverse schedules BTS had Taehyung normally kept himself busy with light hobbies. Things that made his mind rest and heal from the rush he was always exposed to.
It varied from learning how to play the trumpet like his favorite artists, or arts and crafts like the painters he admired dearly. He sometimes took uncompromised walks, just to see what he would end up discovering or seeing... Sometimes, however, it was all about staying at home just singing along to covers he would find online or even watching noir movies and dreaming of different times.
Taehyung was all about the dreamy and unrushed lifestyle people had back in the days... Sure, having things easier was practical, fast, and well, easier. But he would often dream of that magical moment of pursuit and its journey, like buying a record for example. It wasn't just about going to the shop. Hell, not even the shop, nowadays you can just download the songs. Back in the days, however? It was all about feeling the butterflies waiting for your favorite band to drop an album, and then waiting days and weeks for it to come to the store... It didn't stop there, most often than not, you would just go there, listen to the tape or vinyl on the spot and still go home empty-handed because you had no money to buy it. At least that's what his father told him countless times. But the glow in his eyes every time he talks about it... That's something Taehyung lived for.
And that's why ever since he put his eyes on the girl a friend of a friend introduced him to, he couldn't help but think he wanted to take it slow. Because as far as he knew, everything that wasn't rushed was something to keep dearly. Something that had meaning in your life, something that would make his eyes spark.
"And you still haven't asked for her number?" Jimin asked after taking a big gulp of his water bottle. They were both sweaty from practice, and Taehyung unconsciously thought he should start improving his cardio because of the heavy way he was breathing.
"No, not yet."
And that makes Jimin chuckle incredulously. "And how exactly are you planning on seeing her again? Because, like. Not to be a total pessimist here, don't get me wrong, but Seoul has millions of people. And we- You, are an idol."
"There's going to be a party," He brushed his hair back and breathed in, his heart still thumping hard against his ribcage. "Well, not a party per se... Just a casual gathering. I'm hoping she’ll be there."
"You're hoping? You're kidding, right?"
"I have a feeling she will be there." He said with assertiveness before glancing back at their choreographer who was calling for them.
"You're unbelievable."
Taehyung knew Jimin was probably thinking he was just not that invested in the girl, but this is how he is.
Not that he isn't invested, on the contrary, he is overly invested. So much so, he would often catch himself thinking of the little interactions he had with her... Or the dialogues, and overthink about the questions he could have made or the better answers he could have given. This to him was a clear sign of how much space she is occupying in his mind and therefore how much he wants things to work out for the better.
But he is also a universe believer. He has faith that things will play out just fine if he believes enough. And he does in fact believe she will attend the gathering. And that he will have the chance to talk to her and get to know her better. And maybe, just maybe, if things go alright he could ask her on a date like he wanted to do ever since she said 'hi, it's so nice to meet you too!' while placing back a strand of her hair behind her ear since she seemed somewhat shy.
And for a week he kept thinking about that little action of the strawberry blonde girl. His mind kept also drifting to his angels, always calling for help in getting her to the party.
It worked. Angels or not, it worked.
As soon as he arrives at his friend's house, there’s this mood. The song ‘This View’ from Surfaces is faintly playing making the whole ambiance feel like a lazy summer day. The kind of day that comes back to memory once in a while from when you were younger like he was experiencing his first love for the first time.
And then he sees her.
Glass in hand–with fresh juice that matches the patterns of her top–and the long strawberry blonde hair tied half up in a loose way. She’s chatting so excitedly with people she isn’t even bothered by the sunlight that is kissing her eyes ever so softly, making her feel even dreamier.
Taehyung kept looking, not even bothered if people were noticing where his attention was, or if he looked like a weirdo. That's how he is. He isn’t afraid to be vocal about what he likes and what he doesn’t, even if he usually ends up talking about it in a cute and soft way.
But then, as a reflex, she glances at him. Their eyes lock since he’s already looking, and that probably makes her a little fidgety because the next second she focuses again on a friend that was by her side.
But she looks again as if checking if his eyes were indeed what was burning her skin and not the sun itself. And her suspicions are correct. He never takes his eyes away, just adds a smile to his features.
And she smiles back like a reaction to his own.
Taehyung points to the empty porch with his head; a silent invitation that made him gulp down nervously even though he appeared to be confident and relaxed. And then he excuses himself from the conversation he was having with his friends–or pretending to have since he didn’t really focus on anything.
He feels a small breeze touch his skin when he arrives at the porch, and even though he doesn’t know if the strawberry blonde girl will follow him there, he feels content. He feels like he is somewhat living in a dream.
“Hey, stranger!” Even though he has his back facing her, he smiles knowingly. He had loved her voice from the beginning.
He turned.
She was there, smiling warmly at him, like a summer vision.
“Hey… Deo,” His smile widened, turning his eyes in a crescent moon shape, full of fondness. He had forgotten how big their size difference was and Taehyung had always had a soft spot for cute little things, “So… I have a question.”
And at that instant, everything stopped for a bit… This was his pursuit of a magical moment.

warnings. date in the middle of nowhere and again, lots of fluff!
a/n. dedicated to the strawberry blonde itself, @taespocket ෆ i wish you nothing but a life filled with love, cuteness, partnership, and me + tae cof cof,,, happy birthday~ ෆ
It had been three weeks since she had said yes to going on a date with him. Three weeks of smiling like a fool whenever he thought about the moment; how she was so taken by surprise at his question that her first reaction was to frown cutely. Three weeks of rushing toward his cellphone whenever he heard a beep, hoping it was a text of hers.
Three weeks of postponing the date because of his tight schedule, feeling like a fly trapped on a wall.
And now, driving on his way to her apartment buildings, he couldn’t help but tap the wheel with his long fingers in a frantic and anxious beat. Would she like what he had planned for their first date?
When Taehyung asked her out, he did so with thoughts of being able to take her on a nice date. In his mind, he would have closed the last floor of Hybe building, ordered from the fanciest restaurant in Seoul, and they would have dined there accompanied by the wonderful view. Perhaps he would have asked for some ambiance music while they chatted. He had wanted to ask everything about her that way… Like people used to meet back in the days; a Sunday kind of love.
Instead, he had to make questions through texts. And the more he thought about it, the more it had felt rushed, and empty. As if a piece had been missing from the final picture. Reading those cybernetic words had less impact than they would have had if she had said them face to face.
The car came to a stop and the GPS announced his arrival at the final destination. He bent down, closer to the wheel, to try and look at the building before him but his breath faltered as he did so.
Right before him, Deo stood in front of the edifice, mindlessly looking down at her phone. She was dressed in all black, except for her Nike shoes which were perfectly white. Her wide-legged pants flew in the light breeze, just like her strawberry blonde locks that were loosely being held by a pair of sunglasses — that sat on top of her head.
She looked modern and casual yet beautiful, like an ancient poem beaming in sunlight. Taehyung’s face lit with a smile.
He thought about grabbing his phone and texting her a simple “look up”, but he found himself tired of all that jazz. He wanted to be old school, get out of the car, open the door for her… But at the same time, people passed by right behind her. Someone could see and then he would attract attention he couldn’t afford to as an idol.
So he opted for the middle ground — not so twenty-first century, nor so old fashion. He lowered the window and whistled the first notes of This View, which had felt overly appropriate for the moment.
Not even five notes in, she lifted her head curious, squinting her eyes in the direction of his car. Taehyung waved at her from the inside of it and she opened the most beautiful of smiles, running lightly toward the vehicle.
“It was about time,” she said, closing the door after she got into the passenger seat. He smiled wide, scrunching his nose with such happiness. Her comment only added fuel to the fire that burned and roared in his heart.
“And now that is finally happening… Are you ready?”
Taehyung saw the girl lean her head on the seat back, just as he was doing to look at her — with a somewhat mischievous smile, and two big brown orbits that were as sweet as honey. She nodded, biting a shy smile, and he started the car.
“Where are we going?”, Deo asked when he got out of her building area and took a right to the high road.
“Don’t worry about anything today”, Taehyung said, glancing at her quickly to smile yet again. He just couldn’t help himself. “I just hope you like it!”
Deo accommodated herself better on her seat and placed the leather fanny pack she had been wearing across her chest on her lap. Taehyung swiftly turned on the music, and as he shuffled excitedly through his songs, looking for the perfect tune, she found herself looking out the window. The sun shone brightly in the sky on that summer day, and her heart felt as warm as the rays of sunshine that touched her skin.
Taehyung pulled over next to a green field full of red poppies, after what it felt like thirty to forty minutes of a ride — not that she had been counting, but a whole playlist was played until they reached their final destination.
Deo eyed him once he turned off the engine. If she were with anyone else, she would immediately ask why to stop in the middle of a field like that. She has had her fair share of countryside back in the days when she lived with her parents, where the thought of dust in the air and having to dirt her feet made her feel frustrated.
But somehow, as she eyed Taehyung and he held her gaze, she didn’t feel so discontent about having her white Nikes encounter the brownish chunks of earth that awaited for her right outside.
“Oh, right!” He exclaimed. His right hand came to rub the back of his neck. “Uhm… This was not the initial plan… I was wanting to have a private diner at Hybe, or maybe in a hotel but then my schedule got packed and… well, you know,” she saw him shrug a little disconcerted, eyeing her from time to time to try and read her expressions. The girl beside him could feel he was afraid she wouldn’t like the destination he had picked and she promptly got ready to ease his mind.
“I know this isn’t great– and we can totally turn back to the city! It’s just that… There are not that many places I can go without being seen, and at the time this seemed… Romantic” he emptied his mind and she chuckled, sensing her cheeks flush.
“Well I think this is beautiful”, she said glancing through the window and then looking back at him.
His mouth opened and closed, not knowing what to say out loud. His eyes traveled across her features wistfully. Afraid of becoming redder than she already was, Deo mentioned opening the door so she could get out but he was quick to stop her. “Wait!”
As she looked back, he had already motioned to get out of his seat and smoothly go around to her own door. Opening it, he extended one hand for her to take. She couldn’t help but chuckle at his exaggerated accent as he said “My lady,” diving deep enough into his character that he bowed his head for her to make way.
It didn’t take much to understand why people couldn’t take their eyes out of him. He was primarily amusing; made of intrinsic quirks and irresistible expressions. And she indeed felt like a princess, like he suggested by his adorable roleplay. Never in a million years she would imagine herself on a date with Kim Taehyung. That scenario was only fittable on a word document page, or so she thought.
“Thank you, sir”, she took his hand, feeling much like a pinch to her skin, stating he was real while hopping off the car, landing with a quick jump that made dust dance around her feet.
From then on, each second was marked by a different surprise of events, all unpredictable much like the owner of those fluffy locks that danced unruly to the light breeze floating around them.
It started with him suggesting a picnic, and she watched as he excitedly opened the trunk to reveal a red plaid towel and a basket full of goods. When had he found the time to arrange all that, or even think of all that, was beyond her comprehension. She knew he had been preparing for a comeback, hence the lack of time to wander around freely.
Taehyung tried with all his might to make the towel stay put on the ground, but the not-so-gentle breeze that made the poppies around them dance, also made it gain life. Deo couldn’t stop laughing while seeing him battle the red dancing cloth. And after much protest on his part, she decided to help, smartly taking out her shoes while standing right in the middle of it. She then trapped two of its ends on the ground with them.
Taehyung followed suit, taking off his loafers and taking care of the remaining stubborn pieces that still flapped around.
“It’s been a while since I last been to a place like this”, the girl by his side confessed, looking at her own feet instead of the view in question. There was some kind of melancholy in her voice, one that Taehyung recognized promptly as he too had felt homesick quite sometimes.
And to his personal experience, there wasn’t much to do when that feeling came. You either went home if you could, or you waited for the feeling to subside until it greeted you again further on the road. Since the first option wasn’t available — and to his just discovered selfishness, he didn’t want it to be available — he did what he knew best. He entertained.
He got up with a quick jump. “Then we should take lots of pictures! That way you can come here often, even if through a screen!”
His boxy smile was enough for her to regain her spirits, and before she could do anything else but mimic his actions, he had his phone in hand ready to work.
And then came the next surprise.
The wind wouldn’t let her long golden strands in peace. Whenever she would pose for a picture, he would laugh uncontrollably at how ungoverned her hair was. Deo first got stressed, shouting at the invisible air currents to leave her alone, and the action reminded him of Jimin’s lashed-out cuteness. Instead of pictures, he recorded the moment, laughing endlessly and making her fall into her own laughter minutes later.
Not much time they spent in heaven, as minutes after was Deo’s turn to jump out of the towel. “OH NO!” she exclaimed surprised.
Taehyung followed her finger, pointing to the basket beautifully placed on top of the plaid cloth, almost a pictorial straight out of a vintage magazine. “Woah,” he added amused, crouching near it. “I’ve never seen this many ants together. No, you can’t go there! Hey! Little ant, I’m sorry, but that’s not yours!”
The girl watched the scene perpetuous. They really were as distinct as water and fire. But the tingling feeling on the tips of her fingers made her expressions soften, and the look on her face was of nothing but fondness.
Graciously giving Deo her pair of Nikes, and then clumsily putting on his loafers back, Taehyung grabbed the plaid towel — completely unaware she had been staring at him — fanning it in the basket to scare away the ants.
“Should we eat inside?” Deo suggested, plopping down as he turned, pretending to tie her shoelaces.
He glanced toward the car, and then around him. He nodded. “We can’t miss the sunset. There’s no way”, he paced with the towel on his shoulder and the basket in hand. “Ah! I know! Here!”
She got up and turned around. “Inside the trunk?” Deo asked, not feeling so sure how that would work.
As she came closer, he had already placed the towel on the extension of it, the basket occupying the space next to him. She was about to ask where she would sit, but Taehyung had her pinned down by the way he looked at her. The same way people look at magicians; as if she was about to perform a great act.
And the final surprise of that day, before the sunset turned gold those lush green fields, came in the shape of a kiss.
Taehyung brought her closer, standing right between his legs. He was still a few inches taller, even if he was sat. And somehow her eyes got bigger, and rounder standing there, so close to him to the point she could feel the tip of his nose gently brushing her own.
“This is the only thing I can’t postpone anymore” he confessed before taking her lips on his.
The only thing they had noticed about the sunset that day, despite him saying they couldn’t miss it, was how warm their skins felt under its sunlight beams, as their eyes had been occupied lusting on the darkness of a much-wanted kiss.

"Ya— We're going to be late!" Jungkook shouts for the third time to an empty corridor. One he knows way too well by now.
The day had started as busy as it could get to the young man but somehow he managed to do everything listed on his packed schedule in order to get this one night free. Truth be told, he took the lucky shot when it came to his girlfriend. Not because she was as busy as him but because she was incredibly chill. She respects who he is as a person and more so, she understands he couldn't be the average boyfriend—even if that was Jungkook's absolute dream sometimes. They both have a packed schedule, still Carolina always manages to surprise him and make their relationship more fun and carefree.
He sees the only source of light being shut in the end of the corridor and after five eternal seconds of him holding his breath, he saw her. He realised then he was holding it, letting go of the air with a soft huff, the smile placed on his lips reaching his eyes. Carolina came out of the room walking towards him. The melodic sound of her laughter filling the place. She had her arms stretched out in front of her due to the darkness her apartment was now in.
"What are you—ouch!" She hisses after hitting the wall with the side of her foot, flinching a little forward. "-doing here in the dark?" She resumes the question while leaning onto him, massaging the hurting place. Jungkook that until then had his hands inside his pockets removed one to offer support, placing it on his girlfriend waist.
The boy looks at her with fondness in his eyes and when she glances up to hear his reply he delivers nothing but a raised eyebrow. His posture firm not matching the playfulness absorbed in his starry globes. "Yah— you said you were only taking fifteen minutes to get ready," Carolina let go of her left foot to stand straight and push him softly back with both of her hands. She could feel her lips quirking up but fought the urge to laugh. Before both of them came back to her house, they ran onto each other in the halls of BigHit where Jungkook unexpectedly invited the girl to the movies. The unexpected for her was something deeply elaborated by him that spent days browsing which was the best cinema in town and all of its sessions. Of course Carolina said yes without even blinking. The girl loved to go to the movies and he knew about that. What Jungkook didn't expect was the fifteen minutes his girlfriend thrillingly insisted was all she needed to get ready once they arrived home, turned out to be half an hour.
"Jungkook, how is it my fault being a person who likes showering?" She questioned him with a serious facade and arms folded but deep inside she was dying to let out that suppressed laughter. Specially because the answer she got was the typical snort along with a tilt of his head—the usual Jungkook behaviour when faced with an indignant situation.
He sighed while she crouched down to put her shoes. “Let’s just go” The boy said still playing pretend of being done with the situation making Carolina laugh at last.
Walking hand in hand until they reached the elevator of the building, Carolina mused the fact that this was their first date outside her apartment, his own apartment or BigHit headquarters. “What is it?” Jungkook asked, sound a little muffled due to the mask covering half of his face. His hands adjusting the hair beneath the black cap he was wearing. “It’s just- different,” Carolina shrugged happily. The girl herself had a beanie on but her mask was still in hands.
“Us going out like this you mean?” He asked while pushing the button of the elevator once again impatient. Eyes trailed to the little screen above the metal door showing it was still being held in the first floor. “Yeah,” Carolina answered softly, her eyes never leaving his side profile. “But are you sure this is ok? Cause what if people recognize you?!” Her brows furrowed with worriedness and at the same moment the doors finally opened for them to get in.
Jungkook snorted while getting inside and turning around to see her. Hopefully the elevator was empty. “No one will, relax,” Tilting his head up in order to look at her properly in the eyes he continued, “Plus, no one can even see my eyes or face,” His soft laugh echoed. “Not even you.”
“Well… That’s true,” She mused while pushing the G button to go to the garage. “But if anything happens promise me you will just sprint towards somewhere safe-”
“Yah! This is not a zombie movie!” He interrupted while laughing. Carolina could have a fertile imagination sometimes, more often than not if he were to be honest… And that was probably what made her be the art director of BigHit with such a young age. “Ok but promise you’ll pretend you don’t know me and-” She tried once again only to be interrupted one more time. His hands coming to both sides of her cheeks, squeezing them softly. “Everything will be fine, Kitsune, trust me,” He reassured her. And although she couldn’t see what was going on beneath the mask her boyfriend was wearing, she could picture perfectly his bunny smile, the one she was soft for. “Now,” Jungkook completely changed the tone to a more exciting one, “Let’s take a picture of us going undercover to the movies like super bad ass ninja turtles.”
And these were the moments Carolina knew for sure he was the one for her. No one could pull off the ‘I’m a dork but I’m still hot as fuck’ concept better than Jungkook. And to be honest, his dorkish side was what made her heart flutter in an unexplainable way. “Only if I can be Donatello,” She hugged him while he took his phone out of his pocket. A radiant smile on her face.
“I was going to be Raphael anyways so…” Jungkook said shrugging and pointing his phone camera to the elevator mirror. “Of course you were,” The girl said rolling her eyes. The smile still there.
Between the series of weird poses and at least ten mirror selfies while the elevator door would shut and open insistently because Jungkook would put his foot in the way in order for it not to close again, both of them got out of it laughing and bickering with each other—the usual couple behaviour they had. “Wanna drive my baby today?” Carolina asked with amusement in her voice while shaking the keys in the air tempting him. Her playful eyes waiting for his response. Both in a casual pace towards the black 1967 chevy impala she owned. “You want me to drive it?” He asked surprised stopping on his tracks. Index finger froze mid-air pointing to his own chest. That car was her ‘precious’, she wouldn’t let anybody touch its wheel. “Oh man!” He exclaimed shocked, “You’re that happy to go to the movies with me, huh?” Jungkook pointed out pretentious receiving a soft punch on his chest. “Nevermind! I’ll drive it,” She exclaimed passing by him to go to the driver seat.
As soon as she inserts the key on the door to open the car he creeps behind her. His right tattooed hand leant against the cold glass window, making it impossible for the girl to open it or move backwards since Jungkook was forcing his chest on her back. She was trapped. “You already offered it, Kitsune,” He said lowly near her ear. His nose—and the only thing free from the mask and his cap, trailed softly on her neck. Goosebumps adorning her skin due to his hot breathing. “You can’t change your mind now!” And before she could say or do anything he mentioned to bite her with a growl. Carolina just melted even more on his chest, her head pending to the side while a delicious laughter fell from her mouth.
“Dork!” She said amidst laughter while pushing him back. “Don’t scratch it,” The girl said with a warning stare while surrounding the car to go to the passenger seat. “Or I’ll hunt you down, Jeon Jungkook,” She paused before opening the door to get in. “And I’m being serious, I will hunt you down.”
Jungkook tilted his head considering what he just heard. “I don’t know if I want to drive it anymore…” He said sheepishly, still on the outside. Door half open. Carolina who was already inside laughed a little at that, and leaning forward to peak at him she said simply, “Get in lover boy, we have a movie to watch!”
—
The ride until the cinema was filled with Jungkook’s soft voice singing along to the tunes playing on the radio. Carolina recording the journey for the majority of time, saying she herself was doing a secret version of her own Golden Closet Film and that made the boy three times more excited, teasing her about no one being able to surpass him. Nevertheless he made her laugh the entire ride. The usual.
Car parking wasn’t hard either. Jungkook had planned the whole thing out without missing a single detail. They left it on an underground parking that had direct passage to the interior of the establishment where the cinema was in.
The scary part was buying the popcorn and something to drink. They arrived there hand in hand, both with their masks on as well as hats. Jungkook observed the people in line while his girlfriend made up her mind about what sweet thing she was going to buy as a snack. There were some couples there, all with hands intertwined or hugging. Some girl holding her boyfriend jacket in a cute manner too. “I can’t really decide,” he heard Carolina say in a contemplative manner. His eyes shooting to his girlfriend, completely focused on the chocolates being exhibited on the balcon. “Sneakers or Maltesers?” she asked him. Jungkook’s left hand brushing softly on her right one, the feeling of wanting to hold her in public too strong. “Hey Raphael? You’re with me?” she called his attention followed by a chuckle. “Hm? Sorry- Uh I guess maltesers to eat during the movie?” he answered, cooling off his urge. “Ok, be right back then! Don’t talk to strangers, and remember we are undercover, officer!” she teased, and before he could even laugh it out or answer she went away, towards the line.
Jungkook took his phone out and pretended to be minding his own business over the device, trying to blend in. Not much time went by before he heard her voice again. “Ah-! It’s going to fall- Help,” he lifted his eyes to see the girl cutely balancing off on her hand the popcorn and the bag of chocolates plus the two coke cups on the other. “Take the popcorn-“ she said hurriedly and he was quick to oblige.
“I think they are all going inside already,” Jungkook commented while looking to the group of people scanning tickets and showing phones to the workers of the cinema checking them out in front of the room number 1.
“Should we wait everyone go inside?” Carolina asked looking the same way and swiftly stealing some popcorn from Jungkook’s bag.
“Yah-! No stealing,” he scolded in a teasing manner. “But yeah, let’s wait a little longer.”
—
The thing about not being able to do this kind of dates often is that you start to appreciate these little moments you once took for granted. Giggling and trying to keep it quiet while her and Jungkook searched for their seats in the dark cinema room never felt so whole and warm to Carolina. Once they found it, the trailers had already started being played on the big screen.
“Nice seats you got us, player,” Carolina whispered to Jungkook who was fiddling with his mask and cap trying to find a better way to watch the movie, the bag of popcorn on his lap. He giggled.
“I don’t know what you mean,” He shrugs, but he knew damn well what she was talking about. He had indeed bought the most reserved seats for them, not only because he knew his girlfriend liked to do snarky comments during movies but because he longed for those cinema escapades he often saw in romantic comedies.
They weren’t seeing one of those today though. Jungkook bought tickets for The Grudge. Yeah, a horror movie. What’s romantic about that you may ask? Nothing… at least not the movie. Both him and Carolina loved those, but his motives to buying the tickets weren’t lead by his passion about scary movies, but because he wanted to feel his girl leaning onto him when scared. A simpleton thought? Yes, probably. But those were the moments where Jungkook felt like he could be of any service to her. Carolina was one of those independent women, and don’t misunderstand, he absolutely loved that about her. But he liked to feel she needed him sometimes, even if she wouldn’t be vocal about it.
They stopped laughing at a video of Gureom — his dog, that his brother had sent him when the loud sound of the speakers announced the movie was about to start and the lights that were very dim until now, turned off completely.
“Oh it’s starting!” Jungkook whispered while putting his phone away and turning the airplane mode.
“Such a play by the rules guy,” She whispered back when she saw him flicking the airplane icon on his phone.
He turned to glance her, “I can’t disturb people-”
“But you could just silence it,” She chuckles interrupting him.
“I guess you’re right,” Jungkook answers in a whisper with a mocking face. He hated when she was right. Well, for him, hate and love had a fine line between them.
It started with both of them totally concentrated on the scenes being displayed in front of their eyes. Dark colors, suspense filling the place. You couldn’t even hear a peep in the room, only the munching sound of people eating something, Jungkook and Carolina included. When the first jump scare came, the whole audience showed some pretty intense reactions. The couple jumped on their seats too, chuckling it off the second after. Jungkook poking the girl’s arm, making fun of the situation.
Later on it reached that moment when you’re still waiting for the plot to unravel and you’re either too focused on it, like Carolina was, or you’re starting to think about other things. Jungkook was the latter. Not because the movie wasn’t good, not at all! But because he couldn’t stop thinking about the girl emanating warmth right by his side.
Another jump scene led to a few more screams, Jungkook too far gone into his thoughts to even notice what was happening around him, but he did notice how Carolina held tight onto his arm even if her expression didn’t shift at all. The bag of maltesers placed on the empty seat next to her, long forgotten. That same arm dropped to squeeze her thigh whilst she wrapped her own hands around his bicep, scooching closer to him. Needless to say Jungkook was biting down a smile at that moment.
“Don’t go there!” He heard the girl whisper, as if the lady in the movie could hear her too. “Why are people so dumb? Gee-” She sighed in discontent. He chuckled at that.
“If she didn’t go in there we wouldn’t have a movie to watch,”
“Well, yeah,” She pondered. “But still. She’s dumb. I don’t like her character.” Another huff escaped her mouth and he hung his head backwards, an almost silent laughter could still be heard. He absolutely adored when she was stubborn, almost like a child putting up a tantrum.
Seven seconds passed since. Jungkook had his bottom lip held between his teeth. His left hand caressing softly Carolina’s thigh. She wasn’t even showing skin there, the weather not allowing her to do so, but he could still feel her burning skin through the fabric of her pantacourt pants, eliciting him to do things he shouldn’t probably be doing out in public. His breathing was starting to get heavy and his leg impatient, moving up and down accompanied by the rhythm of his own heart.
Although her eyes were still trailed on the screen, she could feel his nervousness, something was off. So one of her hands came trailing down his arm until she interlaced her fingers in his. Their hands still on her thigh. Jungkook sinked a little on his seat. A scene of pure tension came up before them, and as if it were connected with what the girl was feeling at the moment, she shifted on her seat, turning herself to the side almost completely to face her boyfriend. The protagonist screamed and the boy’s hand squeezed her once again making Carolina gasp. The sound sending shivers down his spine.
With a thumping heart, she too sinked on her seat to be leveled with him, and in the dark no one could see how her head was now completely turned to the side, facing him. Oh his side profile, how she loved it! Especially when he would clench his jaw like that… Jungkook kept his eyes focused on the screen, so he didn’t notice when a mischief smirk adorned Carolina’s lips.
She leaned forward. His hand trailed up, nails piercing softly her flesh. When her nose touched his neck in a gentle trail to the base and then back up towards his ear, he saw himself closing his eyes and sucking in the air through his nose heavily.
With her free hand she pulled her mask down a few inches just to whisper on his neck, “If this is your idea of a cinema date,” She kept caressing slowly his sensitive flesh with her nose, just feeling his goosebumped skin and the perfume she loved so much, “Let’s do it often.”
He licked his lips that had gone dry behind the mask he was wearing and looked to his side to stare her in the eyes. There it was. The lust gaze that made her climb walls in completely madness. Jungkook’s eyes trailed down to her mouth and like a trick of magic they partially opened up, inhaling and exhaling, in anticipation.
Carolina saw her boyfriend’s eyes coming to stare deeply at hers once again and in a split of a second she saw the knowing look on them. The gentle yet provocative quirk of his eyebrow, the way his hand was still placed firmly on her thigh, his tattooed hand coming towards his own mask, pulling it down just enough for her to see his own parted lips, longing for hers.
Call it coincidence or even a moment conceived by the universe itself, but just as the whole room screamt in fear for yet another jumpscare, their lips clashed in perfect synchronicity like two hungry souls long searching for each other, protected by the dark to fulfill their destiny: to be in each others orbit. The bag of popcorn that was on Jungkook’s lap tipping over, but just like the rest of the world, the least of their concerns right now.

When the credits started rolling by the end of the movie, the couple was in a completely different mood than the rest of the crowd. They could hear people talking about how scary it was or how shocked they were with some scenes, but it seemed distant. They managed to still see what happened with the plot, but it just wasn’t their main focus. Not then, not now.
Jungkook discarded the empty bag of snacks in the trash by the exit door, and Carolina did the same to their cups. But once the boy saw how crowded the cinema had gotten, probably for the next session, he panicked a little. He immediately lowered his head, his tattooed hand finding refuge inside his long sleeve.
Carolina who was being protected by his back, was inattentively walking behind him until he stopped abruptly and she bumped against him. “Ouch!” she exclaimed already laughing by her loopy behaviour, “Why did you stop?” her question didn’t need an answer though, because as soon as she took a look over the boy’s shoulder, she saw the sea of people just waiting to engulf them. This was bad. Carolina’s eyes widened and for a moment she didn’t know what to do. She didn’t have the time to process everything though, because in a swiftly move Jungkook grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the main door that led to the outside. Strangely enough people seemed to be avoiding that direction and once the distance between it and them was reduced they understood why. It was raining. The heavy kind of raining. Great.
Jungkook wouldn’t dare to speak, there was too many people around and they could easily identify him by his voice, it had happened before. He just glanced at the girl with apologetic eyes before letting go of her hand, and she knew what he was about to do. The solution to their problems was easy enough on his head: take the exterior route to the car while Carolina could go through the interior one. Was he going to be soaked? Yes, he would, but it was the only way so no one would recognize him and spread it on the internet. Plus, his girlfriend would be safe.
To his terror, as soon as he set foot outside, doing his best to run on the cold and harsh rain he heard faintly someone scream, “THEY’RE CRAZY! YOU TWO ARE CATCHING A COLD FOR SURE!”. Glancing back he saw her, hands above her eyesight to protect her sensitive eyes, her pantacourt that used to be flowy was now drenched and heavy, vans splattering water every time she would set them on the ground to launch forward once more. She extended her hand to him and without thinking twice he took it. They had a safe distance from the cinema now and all its people.
Amidst laughter and the showering sound of the rain touching the cemented ground, they ran forward trying to find the alley that would lead them to the car, safe and sound underground. Jungkook came to an halt, fingers still intertwined with his girlfriends making her stop too.
“I can’t see a thing!” He said loudly in order to be heard. The rain not seeming like it would stop any time soon. “Is it that one?” He indicated a street with his head making the girl look to its direction.
“I don’t think so! I remember seeing a neon sign when we passed by it to enter the parking lot!”
“You shouldn’t have followed me… Ya, we can’t stay here in the middle of the pouring rain! We’re going to catch a cold…” Jungkook trailed, his eyes looking non-stop to try and find a shelter. His clothes getting heavier and heavier. Carolina couldn’t help but notice his expression wasn’t matching his words at all. He had this playful and unshakable smile on.
“Oh boy…” She let out. He saw her eyes studying his expression once he shifted his glance back to her. “You’re liking this…” She added and her own smile seemed to get bigger and bigger by the second.
“No…”
“You are! Oh my God, you’re loving this!” She chuckled pointing a finger at the now embarrassed boy.
“No I’m not.” He said waving his head and trying to focus on finding a shelter once again, trying his best to ignore how his ears were starting to feel on fire and the insistent satisfactory smile he kept on biting off.
“Hey JK,” She called while pulling him by the hand they had intertwined. Once he came towards her and stood face to face, she pulled his mask down with a soft smile adorning her own features. She looked deeply into his eyes and he stared back, anxious to know what she was planning on doing.
No one was passing on the street they were in, they were safe, and he still had his cap on. Her free hand went to caress the hair falling near his neck. She gave it a soft pull. In his head, his favourite romantic scenes were being displayed, his heart thumping loudly for the girl standing just a centimeter away from him. “You’re a hopeless romantic aren’t you?” She stated in between a chuckle and all his anticipation was freed from his body through a snort. He couldn’t believe she was teasing him even in the middle of the rain!
“Aish-” He complaint ready to to turn on his heels but he was pulled against her once more.
This time around she let go of his hand to lock her arms around his neck, her head tilted gently back to look at him. She was beautiful. Her soaked hair was forming patterns on her face and neck. Her eyes a little red from the water but it looked so ethereal. Her lips glistening. Jungkook’s hands immediately went to circle her waist.
“I love you, Jeon Jungkook.” She said, her playful smile adding more meaning to the moment. “Even if you’re an hopeless romantic who likes to stand in the pouring rain for a kissing scene.” He saw her eyes roll teasingly making him chuckle. “That only makes me love you more.”
“What was that?” He teased back pretending he hadn’t heard a word she had said. “I didn’t hear you? The rain- Ah-!” She punched him softly on the chest. The sound of the rain being mixed with their laughters.
“I love you, Raphael!!!!” She screamed playful.
“Ya.” He said serious. “I’m Jungkook.” He pointed towards himself, eyebrows furrowed. “Jeon Jungkook! We are dating for an year now and you’re calling me Raphael? Who’s Raphael? Where is he? Huh?” He played pretend looking around as if he was ready to throw some punches with ‘Raphael’ and drawing giggles from the girl who looked at him fondly.
“You’re a clown, Jeon Jungkook.”

Needless to say that once they arrived at Carolina’s car they were leaving trails of water behind them. Their shoes feeling squishy from the amount of water. The girl mentally thanked her car seats being coated with leather, otherwise it would be hell to dry everything. The ride home didn’t minimise the mess they were in, even though Carolina turned the heat on, they were just too wet for anything to work.
She was supposed to leave Jungkook on his own apartment, since he would have to do some recordings tomorrow for their new upcoming album, but he insisted way too much on sleeping with her tonight, claiming they needed a quick shower and her house was closer than his, and that if she didn’t comply and turned out to be sick the next day he would never go out with her ever again. Of course it was all a lie, but she followed his plan, thinking he had sacrificed enough for her tonight so she just should do the same. And who was she kidding? There weren’t a best way of falling asleep unless being wrapped around his warm embrace and lulled by his honey voice.
“Take your clothes off,” She said once she closed the front door to her apartment behind her, without even realizing she had an authoritative voice tone on.
“Oh, you want it here?” He teased with malice and an arched eyebrow. Carolina who had taken off her overly wet hoodie, slapped him with it.
“I can’t with you,” She laughed discarding the hoodie on the floor and going for her pants next. Shoes long gone.
Jungkook laughed out too, he himself discarding his clothes like he was instructed to. And once he had nothing but his boxer briefs on, he turned around just to catch his girlfriend ogling his body. A smirk appeared on his face and without much thinking he closed the space between them, lips clashing once more this evening but this time without any kind of restraining. He mentioned to crouch down, without parting from each other, his hands gripping the back of her thighs, standing straight again and pulling her with him. Carolina’s hands were entangled with his hair, she loved when he let it grow bigger. Her legs wrapped on his waist, breathing heavy and full of lust.
“If not here, then where?” He said lowly when they parted for air. She had her face buried on his neck, trailing kisses on it. One of his hands still offering support under her thigh, the other squeezing her waist full of want and need.
A shiver went down Jungkook’s spine when she chuckled against his skin. A low and sexy one, music to his ears. “Under the pouring rain,” She stated. His girl was a tease… Oh and how he loved it!
“Shower it is,” He said knowingly before catching her lips on his once again and stumble on the walls trying to reach their final destination. Their lustful laughters and moanings echoing through the girl’s apartment as well as in their hearts.
