Dorcean Chieftains

@dracocheesecake. @faithisthedoctor @skysiren41 Now that I've started writing season 3 and these guys will have a secondary but important role, I've decided it's time to share their designs.

Juxreel Ventavir (Hunter name: The Longrunner)

Calm, collected, and has quite the black sense of humor sometimes. Is afraid of heights, hence why he insists on travelling everywhere via longrun. He respects Besteel, and tends to butt heads with Art'eena and Duknaga.

Duknaga Zeph'ri (Hunter name: Terror of the Skies)

Ill-tempered, aggressive, always itching for a fight. While he somewhat approaches the line into sociopathy, he can feel empathy and is quite honorable. He's got a personal beef with Besteel. Even Poachers fear him, considering he decorates his village with their skulls.

Beltra Brih'nar (Huntress name: Thorn Weaver)

The oldest, blind and wise, mostly a peacemaker. Legendary skills at healing, and is a motherly figure to her tribe. She can tell hen someone is lying through their heart rythm

Art'eena Shom'ur (Huntress name: Executioner of Sandsnipers)

Famous for taking on female sandsnipers head-on, and surviving. Tough-as-nails, earnest, and brutally honest, she holds humans in contempt because her tribe has a history of hunting them

Eletra On'du (Huntress name: Dune Dancer)

Outgoing, funny, but beware when she gets serious. Loves teasing Juxreel and Besteel, but keeps distance from Duknaga, who's left flying whale meat outside her home, a traditional method of Dorcean courtship.

ok I got lazy but this is Greefan, a somewhat smaller female Dorcean who collects herbs and such for medicines and food to sell to others. Her personality is friendly but shy at times. She can't really fight but will try to act tough in order to defend herself. height wise she would be about 5'11"

Introducing a new WondLa character!!

I hope you guys like him and feel free to ask more info about him too!

His name is Groshka! He is a large mountain Dorcean (definitely read @dracocheesecake headcanon for Redimus' mate and for a new style of Dorcean depending on the change of climate) that lives in the snowy mountain region.

He is the largest male Dorcean ever recorded in history. (Dude is straight up MASSIVE. Imagine standing next to a grizzly bear that is two times the size of a regular grizzly bear. That's this big boi.) He is all white, with a snow leopard spot pattern near his backside. His face is mostly furry from a lack of grooming and carrying a lot more weight than a regular Dorcean.

He is equivalent to that a human male in their 40s: tired, grumpy, and stereotypical alcoholic. He had lost his mate in his youth due to a tragic avalanche accident and now pushes through traumatic flashbacks during his work. (Basically PTSD.)

He has 6 siblings and is the oldest of his litter. He was so big when he was born that his parents thought they were pregnant with twins or possible triplets. Nope, just one big boi. His name means "foreign warrior" (Mainly because of the common slur that is used to say dirty foreigner in their language is laoshkā) but his name is a word play off of the original word for foreigner where the ā is actually ä. His parents just decided to let it stay that way simply because it was easier to pronounce. (The ending shkä is heavy on the throat, like how you were to pronounce Rs heavily in Spanish as a common example of a heavy roll of either the tongue or rumbling the throat, usually in Russian dialects.)

He brings an intimidating vibe to any gathering he attends (or is forced to), and has no friends except possibly for Doshika (simply because they work together and she is more blunt than he is.) He is very reserved, not really getting into other people's business, or even talking to others in general. If he stands on his two back legs, he looks more intimidating, fluffier, and fatter since his body weight is because of his massive diet.

Redimus headcanon: (TW for the mention of suicide)

Redimus suffers from some form of suicidal ideation. For most of his life, he believed his life was less important than those of those around him. This has led to Redimus becoming reckless with his safety when it comes to protecting those he cares about, ie him taking on the Pillar Guards by himself to buy others time during the battle at New Attica and him letting himself get swept into the flooded ravine burrows to save Terradora

A few months after Terradora and Redimus became mates, there was an incident where a Snapfang (a large venomous snake-like creature) broke out from its cage and ran amok in the camp. Despite Terradora's warnings Redimus ran in to try and distract the creature to buy the other Dorcean time to take cover and get Lutumor. But before help could arrive the Snapfang made an attempt to strike at Terradora while she was escorting her father to safety. Without thinking, Redimus jumped in the way. The Snapfang sinking it's fangs into his shoulder and injected its poison into his system. The creature was put down just before Redimus lost consciousness

Redimus almost didn't make it, but thankfully the tribes healer was able to provide an antivenom. When Redimus woke up, Terradora scolded him for being reckless with his life and for how close she was to losing him. Redimus tried to calm her down, eventually admitting to his feelings of feeling like his life wouldn't be a major loss if it meant those he cared about could live on. Terradora looked him dead in the eye and said "Your life is worth something. A life without you is one not worth it. I and the others can't bear a day without you in it." As she held his claws. Something snapped in Redimus when he heard that, and he just broke down into Terradora's arms
