Well, the gang seem to be OK. Neptune and Amphitrite, the woodpigeons, have nested precariously on a light fitting in their archway. One egg had fallen out and was broken on the ground, but she's incubating another.

The Walters also have a nest. I could hear the peeps yesterday, though I didn’t today, though they may have been asleep – Mr or Mrs Walter was still in there, peeping out.

I also saw a charm of charming goldfinches, and one clambering about in a flowering clematis.
