I think it’ll have to be being in India, in Bandaghar. It was a jungle and we were staying a small complex that put on two safari trips a day. The feeling of sitting in that small jeep with my dad is something that’ll stay with me forever.

Dear Person I Like,

I don’t quite exactly know where we are right now, because half the time you are one of the closest guy friends I have, while other times I don’t know whether you want me around or not; but maybe that’s just me over-thinking things, as usual. I like how dorky and sarcastic you can be, and how ‘socially-awkward’ you think you are. Thank you for caring about me; you’ve surprised me because you always seem to know when I’m sad or when I’m about to fall apart and you allow me to vent to you, and even though you say you don’t know how to deal with a crying girl, I won’t forgot you telling me that you wouldn’t leave. You cheer me up with funny pictures and terrible/hilarious puns, and somehow make me feel a little bit saner. See, here’s the thing: I like you better when it’s just the two of us because you’re still so childish and get distracted so easily. It always seems like you’re disregarding me when we’re with a big group of friends. But regardless. I know we both think relationships can be a huge hassle, so for now, I’d just really like to be one of your closest friends and I hope you’ll be able to vent and feel supported by me as much as I get from you.
