Y'all, I am freaking ecstatic, this is ONE of TWO feed bags full of freshly shorn sheep's wool my buddy brought by after I offhandedly mention I want to learn to spin my own wool and he mentioned sometimes farmers who only have one or two sheep won't bother processing the wool because it's too much labour for so little profit on a commercial scale and I told him to never let anyone throw away a bag of wool and now I have 2 bags full ^-^ don't think I'm not over here singing baa baa black sheep praying someone has black wool they don't want... muahahaha
I totally spent a couple hours pulling out the larger vegetation, burrs and straw, as well as larger bits of feces from the first bag and cannot wait to pour out the next bag and get the processing started!!
Now I gotta go buy dog brushes so I can card the wool after we wash it. We are also going to attempt to harvest some lanolin.
Watched a ton of videos on this whole process and can't wait to try it out.
Some dodgy anatomy and stuff here, but it was just me pushing around a few ideas about a Wool Witch. Magical implements? Enchanted balls of wool? Familiars?
Inspired by this post ; I reckon I’d be a good Wool Wizard. It would be a fun costume to make, too!
I think a lot of the wooliness is lost in a sketch like this, like, since it doesn’t really show texture or owt. That bag is meant to be a granny square, but it looks a bit odd.
What to do when you're super full of executive disfunction and you haven't got a present for your dad's birthday and its today >.> naturally you design your own beer cozy pattern (there is a handle I'm still working on it finished pics if I'm functional when its finished) because of course this is the only thing my dad needs in his life he wouldn't buy himself lol problem with shopping for him is buys whatever he needs has no need for extraneous shit most of the time. Had some fun in the garden with my little mushroom sprite from Crafty Intentions patterns. The glitter in the glitter green doesn't show as well as I'd like but it was so damn cute and I cannot wait to give it to my nibling! <3
