Hearthome Socks by Wool and Pine
I cast on the #DeepWinterCoat from @wool.and.pine.designs last night! There's not much to see yet, but the color is very fun and I'm looking forward to a relatively quick knit! I also noticed that there are very few examples online from fat knitters like me, so you can bet I'll be taking as many pics as possible! . . . . . . #buttercupyarnart #knitting #yarn #yarnart #woolandpine #woolandpinedesigns #cardigan #cardiganknitting #crafting #diy #handmade #handknit #handknitcardigan #cableknit #cableknitting #cableknitcardigan #fiberart #fibreart https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn2r4ntplhO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I finished my Sorrel!!!!! If you watched my last video (link in bio), you'll know the adventure I went through with finishing this sweater, but if you don't watch, read on! . . . I "finished" my Sorrel last week. Bound off the body (which took two whole hours), wove in the ends, finished. Then I tried it on. The hem was almost to my knees, and the sleeves draped down so far the cuffs were completely invisible and then some. My parents insisted it looked good, but I felt like a little kid trying on their mom's dress. It felt terrible, and because it felt terrible, it looked terrible, too. I decided to stuff it in the Naughty Corner until I got a few projects done that I felt good about, at which point I would decide what to do with it. I had a meltdown over it, too. The next morning, I was trying to get some extra sleep, but I couldn't stop thinking about my Sorrel. I couldn't stop thinking about fixing it. So I decided to take it back out and fix it, starting with the body. Running my circular needles as a lifeline, unpicking the bind off, and ripping back took the whole rest of the morning; redoing the ribbing took the whole rest of the day. I avoided doing the bind off again for a couple days, and when I finally decided to do it, it took twice as long as it had the first time. The sleeves, in contrast, took four hours each, from running the needles as a lifeline to redoing the bind off, and so got done in a single day. I could have shortened everything by another couple inches, but it looks great where it is, and I'm not undoing anything a second time, so it's done! I'm so happy with it, and I'm so excited to make progress on my project queue! . . . #buttercupyarnart #sorrelsweateralong #SorrelSweater #totallyradjess #nerdyfibers #woolandpine #sweater #sweaterknitting #finishedobject #handknit #handknitsweater #knittedsweater #yarn #yarnart #fiberart #fibreart #diy #crafting #handmade https://www.instagram.com/p/CQeXIqmJNsk/?utm_medium=tumblr
KOALA HAS BEGUN!!! I ended up putting setting this pattern in PatternGenius on my iPad because I needed to chart out the whole things so I had it correct with the stitch counts between the koalas - and thank you again to #WoolAndPine for the method of securing long floats, it’s what has made this colourwork method possible ❤️ Pattern: #MusselburghHat by @ysolda Koala colourwork pattern by me Yarn: Cascade Heritage Sock in Anis and Real Black #HatKnitting #GiftKnitting #SockYarn #AussieKnitter #AussieKnitters #KnittingLife #ColourworkKnitting https://www.instagram.com/p/CZQkBnCJ2Mb/?utm_medium=tumblr
