Gift Knitting

I bound off stitch 28,290 of the yet-to-be-given knitted gift. I did divulge that it’s a scarf because people have strong preferences in length. (We’re both partial to long, dramatic scarves. 😋) This wasn’t a game of yarn chicken, but 9 yards left of three balls is pretty good.

Did I mention that I made the Savoring Shawl that I just knit during our #hgkskal2022 with leftover yarn? I had a long but lovely day today. I traveled to the CANSA Care Centre in Pretoria where we did an interview for a Kyknet program called Met ‘n hipped in die stap. It will be aired in April. If you are following me for a while now you might have seen my Merlot Poncho before. I released the pattern in March 2021. #merlotponcho Today I wanted to share it again because I think it is a very fun knit for winter / the christmas season. ❄🧶 It is made from super bulky 100% woollen yarn which makes it super warm. I usually wear it over my coat if I plan to go for a long walk and I never felt cold while wearing it.
