Minor WoP ebook update

Through a lot of trial and error, I finally got the hint box text to a size that should be readable on all devices.

I also dumped the text for Metal Gear and created my own ePub.

So the current progress report looks something like this:

Blaster Master - 100% complete

Metal Gear - 100% complete

Ninja Gaiden - 5% (I converted the first chapter to try out the superior camera on my new phone and started plugging stuff into my WoP ebook template, but that’s all so far)

Castlevania II - 100% complete

Wizards & Warriors - 0%

Bionic Commando - 0%

Infiltrator - 0%

Before Shadowgate - 100% complete

Mega Man 2 - 55% (10 of 21 chapters converted, formatted, and put into the ePub… Also have about half of the hint boxes made)

Bases Loaded II - 0%

So that puts me at nearly halfway done with the entire series… Although I would really like to get some high quality scans of the book covers. What’s available online is pretty inconsistent. I’d do it myself, but I don’t have a scanner.

All in all, not too shabby!

Oh look, an update on my WoP ebook project

Okay, not gonna lie… I haven’t been working on this much lately. It’s due to a combo of a hectic personal life and pure laziness (I’d say about a 60/40 split on that).

But I’m jumping back into the project now after about a month and a half of not working on it.

Here is what I have completed so far:

Blaster Master - 99% done. I just have to put together some hint box graphics and insert them in the ePub.

Metal Gear - There is already an ebook of this, but it isn’t up to my standards (there is some odd formatting, the title page is not up to snuff, and it is missing copyright info, dedication, blurb, and the little excerpt from the inside cover), which is no good if I’m going to release it bundled with ePubs I made… so I’m going to redo it. Should be fairly simple since I can just dump the text from the existing ebook.

Ninja Gaiden - 0% complete

Castlevania II - I fully updated and edited the ePub I made a few years ago, so it’s done except for making hint box graphics.

Wizards and Warriors - 0% complete

Bionic Commando - 0% complete

Infiltrator - 0% complete

Before Shadowgate - Much like Castlevania II, I have fully updated the old ePub I made and just need to make the hint boxes.

Mega Man 2 - About 50% complete on dumping the text, closer to 20% on formatting it as an ePub.

Bases Loaded II - 0% complete

As you can see, I still have a long way to go. I’ll probably release a batch once I get books 1 through 4 done, so I’ll work towards that once Mega Man 2 is complete.
