[13:40] the important thing is mistakes are for learning and brave people are unafraid to make them, because trial and error, provided we won't make the same mistakes again. If we apologize and people won't forgive us, then it's their problem and not ours anymore. Pessimists take that as a life burden, a scar, but optimists see it as just another milestone to character development and signs that we oughtta find new people who will actually get us.

the fastest way to play yourself is to use others as a metric as to where you should be in life. people are great at creating illusions and you can never know the full extent and context of someone’s life and how much they are truly progressing. you cannot run on someone else’s frequency. it simply does not work. you’ll burn yourself out.
