would anyone be interested in a sapphic mer!satosugu x reader… started writing it already and i have no idea how long im gonna make it but oh my gods i love it so far. it’s just gonna be implied fem reader but i’ll be making it gender neutral pronouns and everything
it’s featuring a newly graduated marine bio major reader, who’s just moved to australia to do research on mako island for changes in behavior from the local mako population. little to their knowledge yet do they know two mermaids have moved in a few years prior, who are exceedingly protective of their island and it’s shores.
little snippet of what im writing rn under the cut bc i said i was gonna write something short and now its looking like the exact opposite lmao
it's more pre-game!nam-gyu with all my headcanons. related to my fic 'but not kiss'. it focuses on how nam-gyu met his gf (so it takes place way before the events of my first fic). there's not much going on in this part but i figured i'd post it anyways
also just a random note, but when i write x reader stuff, i never see the 'reader' as Me / self insert, i just want him to have a partner in my headcanon of his life before the games, if that makes sense. so like an oc kind of but not really
The last (truly last!) seven sentence Sunday of 2023!! So, since I didn't do a WIP Wednesday this week (I was legit running through Austin-Bergstrom at the time, lost luggage, etc.), I figured I'd give y'all a big ol dose of fic before we close the year out.
Just note: I haven't written anything in about 10 days, so all of this is older. Either way, thank you so much for all of you support this year :)
Red, White, & Royal Blue:
“Henry,” Arthur whispered, throat straining against the guilt clogging his throat. “Open your eyes. I’m here.”
The boy’s eyes opened a fraction, lashes damp and tangled. A few tears slipped out, sliding to rest in the dip of his cupid’s bow. “Can we go out now?”
Arthur ran gentle fingers over his hair, still baby-soft at six years old. “I’m getting my coat. We’ll go outside and it’ll be all better.”
“It hurts.”
“How much?” Henry’s hand pushed out from under the blanket to hold up four fingers.
Arthur did his best not to frown. He’d waited too long.
The hush of winter night wrapped tightly around them. Moonlight poured over them, casting long shadows over the snow, the blanketed plants, the footprints Arthur left behind as he made towards the bare rowan tree planted at the back of the garden. Henry still cradled against him, Arthur knelt in the spindly shadows of the limbs. He tilted his son’s pinched face into the cold air, bathing it in clean moonlight.
Wide blue eyes looked up at him. “Do I have to stand up, papa?”
Arthur shook his head. “I’ll hold you tonight. So it won’t hurt as much.”
“Keep looking at the moon. Can you do that for me, lad?”
Henry nodded as he stared past Arthur’s face. “I can’t see stars.”
“That’s because the moon is so bright.”
“And the moon has to be bright to make it better?”
“That’s right,” Arthur said, focus elsewhere. He dug through his coat pockets, pulling out the collection he needed for this ritual – oil, vervain, cedar ash, a silver needle. It never left his coat pocket, waiting for the day each month when the pair would move along this path of ancient practice, hoping each time would be the last.
Arthur took a steadying breath, coating fingers in the oil. He pushed Henry’s hair from his forehead, out of the way of the symbol he would trace there. He’d soon prick his own thumb, tracing it again on his cheek in blood. He glanced down at his son.
“You know,” he began slowly, voice barely a quiver in the winter night. “I can see stars tonight.”
Henry blinked, a flicker of anticipation on his young face. He knew what came next in this silly back and forth of theirs. “Me?”
“Yes,” Arthur replied gently, same as ever. “All you.”
Lone Star:
“Cut!”
A happy buzz had settled over TK’s head and shoulders. It wasn’t even noon and he felt like he could float through the rest of the day. He was still apprehensive, still feeling the itch to prove himself to an all-star cast and a decorated production crew. He’d managed to keep it down through the table reads and costume tests, through finding a short term rental in Austin for the pilot filming, and telling his mother it went well. He thought he’d conquered it, squished it down, shoved it into a box and locked it tight.
It had reared its head that morning, when the full weight of it had come down on him. Worry and fear had found him in his rental apartment, curled up under a blanket with an armchair and drinking jasmine tea at 5am, if only to stave off the craving for coffee or something stronger. His father was asleep in the second bedroom, none the wiser. TK was already chafing at him being there – at him taking time off from his firehouse to babysit him because his mother could not. Vicious told him he was weak, then ratchetted the cravings up. TK drank more tea, the familiar jasmine smell anchoring him to the spot.
This show was the only one willing to take a chance on him. Increasingly, it felt like a last chance. Tommy Vega and Judd Ryder could cast someone else; they didn’t need him. Nancy could vouch for him all she liked, but she couldn’t hold up a bad performance if he gave one. He had chewed the inside of his cheek until he tasted copper, then washed it away with more tea. If he washed up, he washed up. He’d already flamed out. If TK got to set, got dressed and powdered, only to learn he’d only been good because he was too far gone or because no one was going to tell Owen Strand’s only kid he was garbage?
Well.
Well, then TK didn’t know what he was going to do.
He didn’t have a fall back. After all those years and slips, he didn’t have a plan B. TK had only wanted to be an actor. He’d thrown himself into it and couldn’t imagine himself doing anything else. The knowledge that his whole self was hinging on this one chance unsettled him. Knowing he could miss his shot and ruin it before it began left TK unmoored, terrified, his throat dry with a familiar, equally terrifying need.
He got up. He started the coffee maker. He took a hot shower, dressed in clean sweatpants and tee shirt, then curled back up with a fresh mug and headphones in his ears. He sipped, watched the sun break the horizon, and let it all wash down his back.

Tw - Self-esteem issues, She/Her pronouns used for Junior, angst, slight self harm? Tis a WIP!
-----------------------------------------------
"I wish I went with them..." Junior muttered to himself as she laid depressingly in their bed. Lexi, Devon, and Jake were going out for a bowling night. They invited Junior, but they weren't feeling too good mentally. So, they declined. She was in their house, in her room.. all alone. Always so alone...
"Stop crying..! Y-YOU were the one that didn't wanna go with them.. it's your fault your feeling like this." Junior said to herself as she cried softly, feeling weak and pathetic for crying. Despite trying to stop, she couldn't. Tears kept flowing down her face uncontrollably. She rubbed her left arm against her stomach as a substitute for scratching, a way to stop her from self harm, but it was useless. She needed to scratch.
As she cried and sobbed and tried to not scratch, she got a notification - a picture from Jake.
Hey Jun!! We finished bowling for the night, but we decided to go shopping before coming back home! We got some bags for the four of us for if we ever want to travel in the future! We'll be home soon!
'He thought of me... Why..?' Junior thought to herself as she dug her nails into her skin. 'Why does he keep including me in everything..?! I treated him like shit and he's still so- so.. kind and considerate!! Why?! I don't deserve it!!' Junior couldn't stop. In her mind, she could never be like Jake. He was always better than her, more kind than she was, more happy...
"Why can't I have that..?" She said aloud as she dug her nails deeper and deeper in her skin, continuing to scratch until her arm started to feel a little numb.
The Orkney brothers are supposed to appear in I Remember Everything chapter 1, and then chapter 2 has the round table knights and I’ve decided Im just going to use their appearences from Arcadia of Avalon because work smarter not harder am I right folks
