Of course no one has seen their matrix for the last 3 projects and you could see certain people start to freak out because they didn't know how they were doing compared to the rest of the team. The people who were worried the most were the one's who were going to stop working because of the Bar Exam or the recent hires. 

That afternoon we were emailed our matrix. I think the scariest thing I saw was the amount of hours I worked on this past project. I was one of two people who worked more than 123 hours. Only three other reviewers broke the 100 hour mark, over 80 people were assigned to this project. The sickening thing is that I could have easily worked 25 more hours if it wasn't for the fact that I started to sleep in late and left early a few times. 

Surprisingly, I was coding 80 docs an hour with over 98% accuracy. The team average was 70 docs an hour with 97% accuracy. Some reviewers were at 100% accuracy and over 120 docs an hour. There were also reviewers who worked less than 30 hours on the project, some who were reviewing less than 50 docs an hour, and others at 90% accuracy. Those are definitely the type of stats that will not get you called back for the next project. 

Unfortunately, one of the reviewers I've become friends with is on the bottom of the pack. She texted me that she probably will never be invited to join another project. Even though she was well below average I doubt she won't be called back. There were people who clearly left the project in the first week, and people who had worse stats than she did. 

I hope it works out for her and that the managers understand that this project just wasn't for her

Just another example of gender double standards in the work place...

I'm no stranger to the fight women fight to gain respect in a "mans" world because both my mom and sister have had to work a lot harder to make a name for themselves in the work place than any man would, but it still ticks me off whenever I see other examples. I've worked at two different middle schools this year and it pisses me off to think that the male principal at one school can kind of pound his chest, brag about all the amazing stuff he's doing for the kids, yet in some ways BULLY community partners to do his shit to make him look good.  Then I was moved to another school with a female principal and while she's serious and down to business if she acted the way a male principal did she'd be called a she-man-ubber bitch.  I'm not niave and I've seen my mom fight the fight, but it still pisses me off. When am I going to be able to walk around a school giving myself all the praise for how amazing I am?
