I forget that my autism is something I need to take into account until. I work two single shifts at a fast food restaurant and the entire world is falling down around me over it. It's just a fast food restaurant. It's just a job. I don't need to freak the fuck out, I need to chill, but I'm just. Not so in control of that. I think it really hit me the most when they put the headset on me. There were so many sounds everywhere, no I didn't know which ones were which or when I was being addressed or by whom, no I didn't recognize the ding of an order from my machine, every sound is the same fucking volume right now, how on god do you expect me to listen to you talk at the same ear that's covered by someone else talking that may or may not be relevant to me
