Noida Phase-2 Turns Violent: Workersâ Protest Escalates, 300+ Arrested
Chaos erupted in Noida Phase-2 as a workersâ protest over salary disputes spiraled into violence, stone-pelting, and vandalism across multiple sectors. What began as a demonstration quickly spread to areas like Sector 80, 121, and Naya Gaon, creating panic and disruption.
Police forces rushed to control the situation, resorting to lathi charge and mass detentions, with over 300 people arrested. Authorities have now tightened security, deploying heavy police presence and increasing surveillance in sensitive zones.
Workers claim confusion and dissatisfaction over salary changes triggered the unrest, while officialsâincluding Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandiâhave ordered a high-level probe, alleging possible political instigation behind the chaos.
