When will my sleepy boy wake up?
Some days the temptation of staying in bed is too strong.
We all need some self-care every now and again, but sometimes the advices online leave us sceptical and not phased.
Injuries to Avoid While Working From Home
We all have slowly acclimated to working from home, and I think I speak for everyone, it is quite an agreeable way to work actually. The unnecessary commute in the morning, dressing up to go to work, wasting time travelling has all been quelled with this singular and easy method. Working from home has been incredible. The best part is, I do not have to wake up hours before work just to get there in a presentable manner. Working from home, I can simply wake up at 8:50, make some coffee and get to work in my pyjamas by 9 o’clock.
The flexibility that comes with working from home has also allowed us to give more time at home without having to compromise work hours. However, creating a suitable environment to work at home comes with its own challenges. Most people I know had to invest in a proper set up so that they do not end up working from their bed all day. Honestly, it is not advisable to work from your bed either. You are weak on productivity and do not really gather all the energy to work with your full potential.
One of the many things people do not realize working from home are the potential injuries related to it. You might be wondering - what injuries? How can sitting at home be hazardous. Well, there are certain things you might be missing out working from home. Let me explain.
Back aches
SInce our physical movement has been reduced to a bare minimum, more and more people are coming up with problems in their lower back and shoulders. We are effectively sitting all day all the time without really moving much at all. To help against this, simply take a few breaks to stretch and walk around a little. You will have significantly reduced back aches, trust me.
Eye strain
During the day you are on your computer and during night you are watching movies with your family. You may not realize it right away but eye strains are almost unavoidable at this point. To counter this, simply take a few minutes to look away from your screen every two some hours. Wash your eyes and get some fresh air to avoid looking into the screen. Also, instead of watching movies at night, you can even engage in doing something else, like a board game of sorts.
Primarily these are the two things that folks working from home are being bothered about. Now, there are simple tactics to deal with these issues and simply sticking to a proper regime, you might be able to excel at work without really having to face any health problem either.
