Had a 2-hour long Q1 retro meeting with my entire department today (only 6 people total).

We each had to prep a slide deck and be ready to present it in 20 minutes or less.

My boss made it through my whole team and then glazed himself for ending the meeting on time and how well the format worked.

My fuck ass boss FORGOT ME. I sat in that god forsaken zoom meeting for 2 hours and that piece of shit FORGOT THAT I WAS THERE AND HAD A SLIDE DECK READY TO PRESENT. I put a note in chat, he ignored it or didn't see it?

Not only was I the only one to have my slide deck ready and in the correct folder on time, not only was I the only one on time to the meeting, not only was I respectful of everyone else's time, not only did he glaze himself for such a good meeting but as a reward for allllll that, I got forgotten.

I'm 40 years old, 20 years in my field, an actual honest-to-god expert and I got fucking forgotten in a meeting with adults.

So I guess a reminder that your boss is not your friend, your company is not your family, your job will never love you back and you WILL BE FORGOTTEN.

The Sunday scariest about going back to work tomorrow after a full ten days off of work is really really hitting me.

I don't want to have to work.

It's not that I dislike my job, but I just like not working so so much. I did so many things, it was absolutely excellent, it's been so much fun to just be on my own time and not be stuck at my desk. Idk dude.
