America has continued to try and run from it's past but reconciliation and atonement can not be embraced until we face it head on. I believe we all have trauma or guilt that's associated with Americas brutal past. These conversations that we are having now should have been had a long time ago. If any other country did to American citizens what America has done to American citizens we would have secretly infiltrated there govt and forced a regeme change or simply bombed them and made them start over. Now is a time to listen,reflect and help foster the change that's needed.

since starting to work out my hip pain due to an untreated sports injury from a decade ago has nearly vanished. i have more energy, ive had the motivation to quit smoking after 8 years, and i have a better relationship with food. i dont look malnourished anymore and i look like a goddamned woman. epic.

Lifting weights makes me feel so powerful and in control. It’s nice to feel that for once.

Trying to learn to do push-ups. So far I can only make it to five mediocre ones. But yknow what’s great? My brain is actually proud of me for those five. It doesn’t scream at me and call me a fat failure because I can only do five. Seriously, what is happening?!?!😭

Imagine how different my life could’ve been if someone had just told me how wonderful it feels to really connect with my body, instead of feeling shame in how it looked. Oh well, I am learning now. And it is truly a beautiful thing.

When working out made you want to cry at the start because you struggled, felt like a failure, and your body image was in the depths of darkness. But now it makes you want to cry because of how far you’ve come and much you have learned to appreciate the power your body holds.

Am I actually beginning to feel myself start to connect to my body and what it can do? Am I slowly learning to stop mentally berating it for not changing immediately? What is happening?
