Borderless by Hand: Collective Zine Making Workshop for Immigrants - workshop facilitator

In May 2025, the UK government introduced a new contributions-based immigration model, extending the route to settlement from 5 to 10 years and declaring that "living in the UK is a privilege that must be earned." This year also marks the 1st anniversary of the 2024 far-right anti-immigration riots. In response to this increasingly hostile environment towards migrants, and the broader resurgence of conservatism, we had organised a zine-making workshop. Alongside participants, we shared stories of migration, diaspora, displacement and visa/border issues in a safe environment, by using our hands we expressed it creatively through zine-making and creating passport sized zines where we imagine there would be no borders and reflecting on them afterwards. About the facilitators: Alwayshing is a community artist and historical researcher. She collaborates with artists from diverse migrant backgrounds to organise monthly textile+ workshops that combine textiles with various artistic media.

Crochet x Bookbinding Workshop - workshop facilitator

This Spring I collaborated with alwayshing to create this workshop combining crochet and bookbinding. Participants made a multi functional crochet leaf sprout (which can be used a bag charm/book mark/cable tie) and a simple 3 hole stitch booklet. Thanking all participants on joining us on a cosy evening to crochet and bookbind together. alwayshing is a community artist and historical researcher with a keen interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. She co creates supportive and inclusive spaces by blending crochet, community engagement and archival research to support participants in engaging with art. kamipaper is an upcycle bookbinder, community artist and arts facilitator, who likes to share East & South East Asian (ESEA) diaspora stories and is interested in sustainability and nature. The vehicle is equipped with a means of anticipating and detecting unwanted vehicle intrusion. The vehicle is equipped with an ignition disable device that will prevent the engine from starting if the correct original manufacturer key is not used.

 The Delhi Ford Figo Aspire will be made available in three engine options- two petrol and one diesel-with two transmission options to choose from. The Figo Aspire sedan will mark Ford’s maiden entry into the thriving compact-sedan segment in India.

 Delhi Ford Figo Aspire will be made available in three engine options- two petrol and one diesel- with two transmission options to choose from. The petrol range comprises a 1.2-litre and a 1.5-litre unit whereas the diesel models will come powered by a 1.5-litre engine.

 The 1.2 petrol is derived from the currently available Ford Figo, albeit it has been heavily tweaked and now features ‘Ti-VCT’ technology, or in general speak, variable valve timing. The engine develops 88PS of maximum power output and 112Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and delivers a claimed fuel economy of 18.16km/l.

 Next up on offer will be the bigger 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol motor that churns out a maximum power output of 112PS (most-powerful in its class!) along with 136 Nm of peak-torque. This engine is only offered with a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and returns 17 km/l.

 The Ford Figo Aspire looks mighty impressive and measures up quite well against its competitors. It has also been decently packaged with features and equipment across all variants.

Ford Figo Aspire With new touchscreen system

 Ford has begun development of a new touchscreen infotainment system for its upcoming models. Ford’s decision to develop a new touchscreen system comes on the back of growing demand for touchscreen systems in cars across all segments.

 The new touchscreen system is likely to be introduced on the facelifted Figo and Figo Aspire which are expected to make their debut in 2018 following and the new touchscreen system could mean a redesigned dashboard for the Figos as the current infotainment display housing is located too far away for touch access.

Ford Eco Sport continues to be a popular choice at the Auto car

Delhi Ford Eco Sport the long termer that I, and almost everyone else on the team, race towards at the end of the day. I do get lucky sometimes. While the generous 200mm ground clearance helps me tackle those rowdy speed breakers even with a full complement of passengers and luggage, it’s the EcoSport’s compact dimensions that make me a fan. It’s easy to punt around town, squeeze through traffic.

The visibility from the driver’s seat isn’t particularly great despite the elevated driving position. It took me a few days to get used to the thick A- and D-pillars. But the front seats are very comfortable and offer good support, while the rake and reach adjustable steering wheel makes it easy to find a good driving position.

The other thing that appeals is the EcoSport’s willingness to attack corners. I love the fact that it is agile and genuinely fun to drive despite being a compact SUV. The light steering is a boon in the city and at highway speeds, you have a good idea of what the front wheels are up to. This instils a good amount of confidence and it can be driven around bends at car-like speeds.

Ford Figo Aspire launched in August 2015. Now that we have driven this sub-compact sedan, we know the features, specifications and engine options to be offered with the car. To be made available in 4 trim levels - Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium +, Delhi Ford Figo Aspire will be made available with three engine options - a 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol, a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol and a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel. While the 1.5-litre petrol & diesel engines are the same that power the EcoSport, the 1.2-litre Ti-VCT is a new engine based on the Figo's old petrol unit.

Drive Modes Optimize Ford GT Performance for Every Condition

Normal mode:

If you can think of a situation that constitutes everyday driving in a Ford GT, Normal mode provides it. In Normal and Wet modes, comfort suspension is available. Pressing the comfort button allows the driver to soften the car’s ride on bumpy roads by adjusting compression and rebound in the dampers, without compromising control.

Wet mode:

For this setting, the Ford GT’s ride height and other systems remain in their default settings, with the exception of throttle control calibration.

For Wet mode, throttle control is adjusted to limit the induction of slipping and sliding, enabling greater stability when driving in potentially dangerous elements.

Track mode:

While Sport mode can be used effectively for many race tracks, especially those that require a higher ride height; Track mode is absolutely hardcore and optimized strictly for race conditions.

9990003366-Ford Endeavour Car Generation in India

India was introduced to the first generation Endeavour in 2003. It was the most affordable premium SUV back then. Localization levels were at 20% and the company targeted sales of 150 units each month. The Endeavour's two main disadvantages were its bumpy ride quality and low-placed middle row seat. What worked for it however, were the butch looks, superb reliability, go-anywhere ability and the sheer road presence it commanded due to its mammoth dimensions. Over the years, the Endeavour went through several engine, transmission & styling updates.

The game-changing Fortuner arrived in 2009. Since then, Toyota has been dominating the premium SUV segment in India, leaving all competitors (including the Endeavour) completely sidelined. Till date, after which it did double digit sales. Ford also began concentrating on its mass market cars and diverted all of its attention to the Figo and then the EcoSport, which became the company's bread-and-butter models in India. The Endeavour had gotten too old to compete anyway.

Like its predecessors, the new Endeavour is also based on the (2015) Ranger pick-up truck platform. The earlier generation was engineered by Mazda and based on the Mazda B-series pickup truck. The new Endeavour has been fully designed and developed by Ford, built on an all-new T6 platform, which will serve as a base for future Ford SUVs and pickup trucks. Just like the Fortuner & Pajero Sport, the 2015 Endeavour is a full-size body-on-frame SUV with 3 rows of seats. Body-on-frame UVs are generally more robust than their monocoque counterparts, but the latter offer superior dynamics & also weigh substantially lesser.

This car is surely going to be a favourite among those who love chrome. The Endeavour has a healthy dose of it all around. Dominating the front is a large, hexagonal chrome grill sporting the blue oval. The large ORVMs, door handles, side air-vent garnish and rear number plate garnish are all dressed in chrome. The silver skid plates, roof rails and 20" alloy wheels only add to the SUV's gangsta image.
