Q: 957 and Condi are currently the highest-ranking Chinese challenger players on the Korean server. Comparing Ionia to the Korean server, which server do you think has a higher level of play?
Condi: I think that the Korean server is at a higher level.
957: I also think the same way. The Korean server focuses more on the tempo of the game. The Chinese server is just straight up fighting. You can frequently get 40-50 kills in just 20 minutes.
Q: Question for Xiye. In this current patch, which types of mid lane champions are more advantageous?
Xiye: This patch is more geared towards assassin champions like Kassadin and LeBlanc. They’re more advantageous.
Q: So among all the mid laners, who do you think has the most potential to grow?
Xiye: Right now, the games have just started. Many mid laners haven’t even played yet. However, in this patch, most of the mid laners are evenly balanced. Since all the other teams are also very strong, we need to see how they perform in game.
Q: A question for 957. As a new player who is playing in LPL for the first time, how did you think you performed today? How is the LPL tempo different from the LSPL tempo?
957: You can say that my performance in the last few matches is passable. I would give myself 80%. Also comparing this to LSPL, LPL is definitely much faster paced. It’s harder to play.
Q: Another question for 957. How do you see Poppy in this new patch?
957: In this patch, I think that the half tanks will become popular again. I feel like Poppy is a champion that is both tanky and can output damage. She’s good to play with.
Q: A question for Condi. Why did you choose Mundo in the first game?
Condi: In the first game, our team didn’t have someone who could frontline. So I decided to choose Mundo to help with our frontline.
Q: You won your first game today. (This might be a typo since they lost the first game). The game was a little difficult. I want to ask Xiye on how he viewed the last two games. What adjustments did your team make?
Xiye: After losing in the first game, we immediately started adjusting. That’s why we were able to perform normally in our second and third game.
Q: Which team do you think poses the biggest threat to you?
957: I think it’s Snake. Snake is really strong both individually and as a team.
Q: Today, your bottom lane combination was very stable. In the future, will you use this Korean bot lane as the main focus of your games?
957: I feel that every one of our lanes, including jungle, can become the focus lanes of our games.
