I'm still sick but I'm doing good academically! at least I think!

Done with my pali assignment! (on day 4 morning btw)

Also done with my HSKK class!

I'm still studying Japanese at N3 level because I'm not ready for N2 yet... Hyouka is helping me along.

A new semester for HGU UNITWIN starts tomorrow! Worldview studies and Health Psychology here I come!!!

I finished "The Con Job" which is a Leverage novel and it was honestly disappointing since I'm rewatching the show. But I'm still gonna pick up "The Zoo Job"

On this week's HAIYUU book club activity: We're reading the little prince! Last week my friend chose that book and I was astounded by the amount of people who thought it was a children's book(??!??) Anyway, we're gonna discuss translations too since we decided to let the readers pick the language of the book they wanted. Personally, I'm reading it in Chinese.

My tonsilitis still persists. Now I have body aches. Idk when I'll get better but god, it better be soon.

I got accepted into two free online courses offered by Handong Global University through UNESCO Unitwin program for Burmese people! I'm enrolled in "Worldview Studies" and "Health Psychology" for this semester!^^ If I pass this, I get 3 credits and a free certiticate for each course! I'm not enrolled in any universities and I don't even think I can actually use these credits... but I still like it!

11/21 days of productivity

wrote 13 reflection papers (yes, 13) for my worldview studies course

they're about biblical worldview, deism, naturalism, nihilism, existentialism, marxism, postmodernism, hinduism, buddhism, new age, islam, confucianisma and social darwinism

also took my finals on this course and I wrote about marxism and buddhism AGAIN

it's only about one page each but took me eight hours because there were 50 slides to go through per topic and I need to go lie down RIGHT NOW

I'm suffering from incredible chest pain but on the flip side my midterm for Worldview Studies came back well!

The question was "what was the most important and influential worldview out of 8 views you've learned so far" and I basically said it was the biblical worldview, especially the Christianity because it went hand in hand with colonization and we all know how that influenced everything. I can't believe I wrote that essay in 30 minutes and still got 86% 😭

Anyway, back to suffering in my bed. I just finished legally blonde and I must find another movie to take my mind off of this pain.

Finished my midterms! Yay! I got 80% for Health Psychology but I have no hopes for my Worldview Studies exam lmao.

I'm still trying to rest and recover from my cervical spondylosis flare up... it's going. Not well, but it's going.

Josh: You've tried on a lot of different identities. You get Jennette McCurdy the daughter. That was certainly a heavy identity for a long time. The actor, the country singer. How does Jennette McCurdy novelist sit with you? Jenette McCurdy: It sounds wonderful. It sounds lovely, but values has been a theme here. And I try to operate from a place of values as opposed to any sort of. Career identifier or, or relationship identifier or anything. And it's tricky. You know, it's being somebody who puts so much of my worth in my work. It's, it sounds great. I love how that sounds. But I, I try actively to go, okay, I really care about growth. I care about creativity, I care about authenticity. How can I live my life by these values? And God, why is, I'm sorry it's making me emotional. You know what? I won't apologize. It's making me emotional, but it's really important to me to live by those values. So I try to do that. Josh: Yeah. What, what are those, those core values that you really hold dear? Like when you were on that rocking chair? Jenette: Growth, creativity, authenticity, honesty. Those four that has led me, those have been my North Star. And I know if I'm misaligned, if I'm feeling off, if I'm feeling really frustrated with my life, I'm going, okay, something's not happening here. What is it? Am I not being creative enough? Am I not growing and stretching myself enough? Am I not being authentic with people? Am I, am I not leading with honesty and trying to, to play the game, or do--am I trying that I--because if I'm doing that, it's just not gonna work. I think life for me, my experience of it has only worked when I've lived in accordance with those values. And anytime things start to veer off, it's because I'm not living by those.

We love to see someone who clearly has put so much thought and care into tending their worldview :) Being able to verbalize this matters!
