Roy/Riza
Oh boy, it's been a really long time since I've thought about this ship
Ship It
What made you ship it?
I just really liked the way their relationship was portrayed throughout FMA's story.
2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
It would have to be the loyalty they have for each other that strikes me the most.
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Probably not unpopular to the fandom but maybe to Arakawa(?), back when I first heard about it, I thought it felt like a cop-out that they couldn't officially get together because of the whole military fraternization rule thing, especially considering Riza's grandfather
Peeta can have a fall birthday and still symbolize spring to Katniss because projecting her stuff onto Peeta is one of Katniss's favorite hobbies!
Tagged by @sunheart to list my ten favourite male characters - thank you! This seems an unfair request to constrain it to distill it to my absolute favourites, much less only ten, so I’m just going to list ten male characters I like from ten different works and leave it at that.
Faramir (The Lord of the Rings)
Shasta (The Horse and His Boy)
Apen Shephard (The Silver Eye)
Jacin Clay (The Lunar Chronicles)
Illya Kuryakin (The Man from U.N.C.L.E., both TV and movie)
Uncle Iroh (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
Bear (Fairy Tale Novels)
Kaladin Stormblessed (The Stormlight Archive)
Camillus Rufus (The Ides of April/The Roman Sequence)
Dym Ingleford (Enemy Brothers)

11 & 22
11. who is the most underrated character?
Maybe Bail Organa? I love how he was unafraid to stand up for what was right, and stand with the Republic and the Jedi even after the Jedi purge and Palpatine had taken over. I also love that he took Padme’s daughter in and look after her, when in all honesty, keeping the daughter of Anakin Skywalker right where he would see and interact with her regularly had be incredibly dangerous. I love Bail Organa.
22. favorite droid?
Chopper from Star Wars Rebels. But Artoo and K-2SO are close behind.
Have you gotten to watch the My Hero Academia movie yet?
This contains some spoilers!!
I did, last night! (Sorry it took me so long to answer you!) I watched the subbed one, my brother sent it to me.
I liked the action and overall the production was quality and it looked like it was made by the same team that handled the anime, unlike other movies that don’t look like they belong with the franchise (I’m looking at you FMA: Sacred Star of Milos).
I liked the plot and where it was going, but I can’t help feel like it was rushed. It could have been cut into episodes if it had been part of the canon timeline. BONES tried to squeeze everything into a movie. BUT we had all our players and we didn’t really need an explanation as far as their powers went, but they included scenes from the anime, which I thought kind of took away from the movie time run. I liked seeing Young All Might in action and in his prime and we finally get to see who designed his hero costumes!!! Dave is a genius. I also like that Melissa, his daughter, is an inventor who makes cool gadgets.
This might be tasteless of me, but I didn’t really like that Melissa looked to be perfect? In my eyes, she didn’t seem like she had any flaws going for her. I know it’s a movie and we don’t get a lot of time with her, but I mean...Idk? I guess it’s my own personal reference. I should like her more because she is a pretty girl that wears glasses, but I like her more because she is an inventor and she’s smart. I like how she trusted Deku with her gadget, too. And Deku, even though he was shy and flustered, still treated her like he treats his female classmates. He’s still heroic and has the need to save people, and he saved Melissa a handful of times in the movie, which is what he does in general.
I don’t really get the Deku x Melissa ship. Again it’s my personal preference. I personally can’t see it and that has to do with me and age differences. I know it’s not a huge age difference, Melissa is around 17? She’s in her 3rd year in her academy, so I figured she’d be around 17. And Deku is still 15, almost 16. Again, not a huge age difference, but that’s me. I don’t really go for females being older than male characters. That probably sounds dumb, but that’s how I view things. So I couldn’t cheer for that ship even if they got a lot of screen time. And even if they don’t have an age difference, I still can’t get into it.
I did cheer for IzuOcha, though. Deku gets really flustered with Ochaco and it’s adorable. I also like that Ochaco is depicted as jealous when she sees Deku and Melissa together, but she also puts aside her feelings when she tells Melissa to go with Deku for the sake of seeing their mission through. It shows that Ochaco is level-headed and focused rather than just obsessive over Deku. That’s how you overcome a flaw. Ochaco’s flaw is she can get jealous, but she can be professional and control herself. Good job, kiddo.
Speaking of jealous girls, I got the feeling Yao-momo and Jiro got jealous of Deku with Melissa as well? So now I have a headcanon that the girls from Class 1-A have a crush on Deku. I don’t care how many times people call him plain looking. He is adorable and will be an attractive hero when he’s older, and a beef cake.
I get the movie was short on time, but what I understood is that Dave did the whole villain plan to help All Might? So uh...I’m wondering if All Might got after him for doing that? What I got is he is going to jail, from the looks of those police officers outside his hospital room, but I wonder if All Might told Dave that it wasn’t a good idea? Did they ever talk about it? Did All Might ever find out that the whole plan was to help him in the first place? All these questions are unanswered. I want answers.
I loved All Might and Deku getting a chance to fight together, side by side, and they defeat a villain together. It warmed my heart so much I cried from pure joy. Deku got to work alongside his idol/dad and it gave me chills. Best scene in the movie.
Did the kids get in trouble for using their quirks without a license, though? Another question unanswered. Also, lots of coincidences for the 1-A students all getting to go to the same island at the same time. What were the chances that all 20 were there? And like half were there to help out defeat the villain? I’m glad!! I got to see my favorites!! But I mean, it just felt so unlikely and the universe really pulled through to bring them all together. Not a bad thing. If All Might hadn’t invited Deku, then the whole thing probably wouldn’t have gone down the way it did. Everyone follows Deku. He is the true leader without them all knowing it.
I went a little backwards here, but that opening scene where Deku and All Might are in the airplane? Cute as heck. My heart nearly exploded from how cute Deku is and how he looks out the window.
He squish.
My heart just wants to burst out with rainbows. That’s my son. I will protect him at all costs.
And also Deku and All Might bonding?
HE IS YOUR DAD, YOU ARE HIS SON, YOU ARE FAMILY.
I enjoyed the movie, overall, though. Like despite these loose ends and things I wasn’t too fond of, that will always happen with a movie. It’s happened with SSoM and it definitely has happened with CoS (Haha h a do we even want to get into how much I hate that ending because I will cry a well of tears from how unfair I think it is, it’s just so SAD, but I could watch that movie all day every day and not get bored, I love pain), and other movies that are part of shows, but this one did have a happy ending and it still held its positive and heroic aspects, which is ultimately why I love bnha. And Deku. Deku was adorable and great.
