The Watermill Classic cover for Eight Cousins is a definite improvement over the one for Under the Lilacs - it not only shows the titular characters, they're even somewhat recognisable.
(Well, sort of. I can at least make a stab at all of them, although Archie and Charlie are definitely not drawn old enough.)
However, the writer for the back cover synopsis appears to have been labouring under a misconception of exactly how many cousins there are.

this dress is made of silk and wool. The dress is in half-mourning colours to honour the dead during the american civil war.

1916-17 c. Evening dress by Lucile of frothy peach-pink chiffon with a sash of chartreuse and emerald satin.
